Which 4th Yr. Juniors should Return for their 5th Yr

Yes, this topic will be discussed for months until RR finally resolves it, but there is nothing better to ignore a horrid past than to start thinking of the future immediately. So indulge me, and join in the defensive mechanism... critique, add, subtract, etc. 4th year Jrs that are up for a 5th year...if the coaching staff grants it: Obvious 5th years granted: - Obi (even if he doesn't start); -Mouton (starter... when he learns to control himself in pass coverage); -Ferrera (OL depth needed); -Schilling (starter); -Dorrestein (probable starter) Should be granted the 5th Yr. -Banks (DT/DE depth needed -- actually played well as a reserve this year) -Sheridan (Walk on who should get a scholarship as Player-coach who will be in his third year in the system - 4th string QB is needed) Big Question Marks (probably dependent on a full class of 25 and number of transfers) -Wright (this is a huge "should" because I think he stays as the backup punter behind a true freshman and as kicker behind a redshiirt freshman... needed for depth) -Moundros (Like Sheridan, he's a walk-on who has been granted scholies the last two years, played very little at FB the last few games, but he is a special teams monster and maybe sees more time at Fullback with smaller/shiftier TBs and pass now that Minor is gone) Probably gone -Cone (and his ability to drop a rhyme and cut shit with his lyrics)

I can't see any reason not to take anyone back that wants to be there. They're so far under the scholarship limit I don't think they could get up to 85 anyway, so why not have them back?

Incorrect. We have 62 scholarship players returning next year, so in order to even sign 25 recruits, we have to cut loose at least 2 5th year guys. For all the people on here that have a hard-on about the idea that we will sign 28 or 29, then we really cant bring many of them back. Which is why I have been saying for weeks that the class will be 25 max.

Are you to speculate on something like this? YOU been to practice with these guys for the last four years? Been going to class AND trying to fit studying and football in with them? Go back to internet porn and jerking off you fool. This kind of fucking shit makes me sick of Michigan fans.

Hey K.O.B..... see Cyprus's post above. Like it or not, there will be a couple of guys "let go" if you will. The fact that to-be 5th year guys have to be granted a scholarship to come back is a fact of life. I would like to give 207 scholarships to every kid who wants to wear a winged helmet for 5 years of college... but fact is we can only do 85. Some will have to go. I debated whether to even respond to your rant considering you are a chode with nothing substantial to offer this board... ever. But, speculate is what all of us do at MGoBlog.com. And disagree (usually with class) is what we do too. Some of us (you specifically) just rant and offer nothing but stink to this board.

Oh, and Cone walked today so he's obviously gone. I don't think Sheridan is going to get a scholarship net year unless Michigan ends up short; his dad is a frickin' NFL DC. Wright's the only other guy I think might not get invited back.

I think Wright did a very good job on kickoffs this year so why send him packing. Assuming Cone is gone, at most one of these guys has to go (unless the count above doesn't include Kovacs or Leach). I'm guessing without RR doing anything someone will not be back -- career ending injury, transfer, or getting kicked off the team. Indeed, if the sexual assault story turns out bad, there's one scholarship -- arrgghh.
