Rodriguez said in a press conference that Hemingway might take a medical redshirt. And yes, he had mono. He should still have three years of eligibility left, so we could still be seeing him in 2011.

Is there a way (i.e. via NCAA website) to find out if he wins the appeal? Last I heard was that b/c he played so little in some of the 4 games he might win an appeal, even though he technically played in one too many. Anyone know?

According to mgoblue.com, Hemingway played in four games, so he may not be eligible to get a medical redshirt. I think the rule is that a player can't play in more than 25% of a team's games and get one.

Well if he played in 4 games, he did not play in more than 25% of the teams games, if that's the correct verbiage.

Four games played divided by twelve on the schedule equals 33%.

Yeah, it's 20% of the total games. Also, you can't play in the second half of the season.
