Where do you get your info?
So, I have heard several people cite 97.1 for news stories or opinions on this board. I decided to tune in on my drive home from school all last week. It seemed to be a decent show at best. They seem more concerned with the Lions, Tigers, and Detroit politics that anything. I also don't like how they handle listeners who call in. Will they get better as the football season starts? Do I need to listen at another time? Should I be listening somewhere else? Where do you guys get your Michigan info (other than here)?

Ever since the evil bastards axed the crew at 1130 The Fan...97.1 is the last man standing.
I would love to hear Stoney and Wojo's opinion on this....I miss those guys.

If you're in the AA area, WTKA is the best place... though if you're in Detroit, you likely won't be able to tune it in while driving (it always seemed to work while at home, though).
97.1 is pretty meh at best for UM coverage, but it's the only game in town anymore.
The Detroit News is the best print coverage and channel 7 (ABC) is the best local news coverage.

In my experience, nearly all sports radio is toxic hyperbole.
