Thought he might make our staff look less old, white, and bald. Which while technically true, isn't really reason enough to believe Hoke made the wrong call on this one, either.

...to assist was Greg Harden.
ChiTribHamilton Per @WoodyWoodritte, person called to Corwin Brown's house is #Michigan administrator Greg Harden, director of athletic counseling.
This twitter feed is a local radio reporter's and has a lot of real time reports of what he saw.
RadioCarl "please don't let me down" final words from unidentified coach before Brown came out
Looks like Harden's involvement was key to its resolution. Hoping that Brown's injuries are not life threatening.

....person brought in to talk Corwin Brown down was Bob Chmiel, ND's coordinator for football operations. Chmiel has an extensive Michigan background:
The 1971 Illinois-Chicago graduate had been serving as an assistant to the athletic director at the University of Michigan in '94-'95 following six years [1988 - 1993] in which he served as football recruiting coordinator for the Wolverines. The recruiting classes he brought to Ann Arbor were among the best in the country. The Chicago native originally served as a defensive assistant at Michigan under Bo Schembechler from 1981-84.
[Chmiel's wife] is the former Anne Dufek (sister of former Michigan players Don and Billy Dufek and daughter of former Wolverine Don Dufek Sr.)

He and Alfie Burch sublet the apartment across the hall from me back in the summer of '89. Nice guys. Too bad.
