what about van jefferson?
Not sure if this is truly forum worthy, but with all the talk about shea patterson transferring here and then subsequently deontay anderson not, I noticed there hasn't been any talk about jefferson transferring to michigan. anybody know what the case is with him?

One key point is to remember that an average student who wants to transfer from a community college to Michigan probably knows ahead of time that he/she wants to transfer to Michigan. Many of them just go to community colleges to save money.
Kids who go to JUCOs or other 4-year universities don't necessarily plan on transferring to Michigan. None of the kids who went to Ole Miss thought they would be at Michigan two or three years later.
Therefore, when it comes time to transfer to Michigan, the average community college student who planned to transfer is in better shape, because he/she made sure that the credits at the community college would be accepted. That's what guidance counselors at community colleges do (like Brittany what's-her-name in "Last Chance U"). The guidance counselors at Ole Miss aren't worried about their students scheduling classes that will transfer to U of M.
