What's your favorite...
So, I was reading the thread about blue pants and the other one about the o-line. It got me thinking, what's your favorite brand of NSAID pain reliever?
I tend to buy Kirkland brand, but can appreciate Advil too.
Take it easy on me, it's my 1000th thread.

I don't take any but this thread could end up better than the drinking threads.

What was the question?

That made me laugh out loud. Bravo! :-)

I just go with ibuprofen. Pop a couple before bed with some water, and I've never had a hangover

Drink one bottle of this:
You'll have a hangover.

Interesting. For me it's acetimenophen. But I know others who swear by aspirin. Anyhow, it's probably the water that has the biggest effect since the most severe hangover effects are due to dehydration.

I hate people that "don't get hungover".

Also as a PSA: Stay away from acetemenophine (tylenol) folks. It's surprisingly easy to overdose on it, and it has killed more than 1,500 people in the US from accidental overdoses (link). If you do take it, never take more than recommended. It doesn't actually help anyway.

It's definitely more dangerous than ibuprofen and aspirin, but I would tell people to be careful, not necessarily stay away. It's the only thing that works for severe headaches for me, which probably means that applies for many others too. A 500mg tablet is powerful and probably the most anyone should take in a day. Ibuprofen works only for muscle aches for me. Alcohol takes care of the heartaches.

I had a bad experience with acetaminophen a couple years back while following a doctor's/prescription's orders. Extreme dizziness, nausea, and what felt like fading in and out of consciousness. I don't know if it was a sensitivity to the drug or the amount the doctor was having me take, but I felt like I was going to die. I now stay away from any pain medication of any sort.

I had a similar bad experience with percocet many years ago, after downing a six pack and splitting a fifth of vodka with the guitarist in my band, then splitting the entire percocet prescription I was given after having my wisdom teeth extracted. The guitarist fell down in the middle of the set and didn't get up. I fell down too but I got up. never again.

If you drink alcohol, acetaminophen can be deadly. The combo trashes livers and kidneys. And watch out for acetaminophen compounded with other drugs. It's a very common ingredient in medicines for colds and/or pain relief, both over-the-counter and prescription.

Morphine and or weed.

Weed is honestly great medicine. I had strep a couple of weeks ago and it was the only thing that made me comfortable enough to go to sleep.
