He's going to wait until his basketball season is over before he announces "officially" (whatever that means). Inkster is like 19-1 and in the playoffs, so he wants to concentrate on his current season.

He's Blue, he's just waiting for the end of his basketball season to make a public announcement. He has committed to the coaches though, and Scout went with that and put him on the commitment list while Rivals decided to hold off.

I was hoping he was so humble that he had decided a press conference wasn't neccessary.
Then again, you need your QB's to be a little bit cocky, so I guess an announcement is mandatory.

See my most recent post.
I agree - high school kids should just be grateful they have talent and drive to work and not have any fun, at all, with their recruitment process.
But wait - isn't holding off on his commitment announcement to focus on his high school basketball team a sign he is humble?
Man, making ridiculous character assumptions about people I've never met is HARD.
suck it up and draw a few conclusions. both you and dg aren't michigan men.
You're right. Making character assumptions about someone, based on the first thing you hear or infer about them is HARD. If it was easy then everyone would be on the internet casting judgement on 18 yr olds based on when and how they announce their commitment. But instead there's a select few who do that for us, like Tater.

What's even HARDER is someone whose main persona is schtick responding to a light-hearted, schticky post as if it were literal and a hundred percent serious. And, of course, implying a character judgement about someone HE doesn't know.
But you're still pretty funny.
Oh yeah, excuse me for not managing to decipher this one as lighthearted - are all the O$U, Lane Kiffin eats children and pays better than the CFL, U$C, Every Program Besides Michigan Is Crooked, and Duke Basketball Is A Product Of An NCAA Conspiracy posts "shticky" as well? Or is there a certain douche-tastic threshold you have to cross that delineates whether you are being funny or not?

Also, and this shows how Blue he is, Gardner wants to make a public commitment with a presser and all that to generate excitement. He wants other top prospects to see a highly touted quarterback putting on that Michigan hat.

If he was really Blue, he'd put on a jersey and pants, too. He's obviously just waiting for an OSU offer.
Actually, I hear he's going to commit to Northwestern because purple is a combination of blue and red.

Good to hear. I'm definitely glad he isn't so shsallow to go to OSU because he likes the color red.
It's pretty clear that us Michigan fans took that comment about him liking the color red as a child way too seriously
yeah i don't know. you really think so?
I heard he wants to have a nice press conference to high-lite his verbal and to use it to help recruit others. How that is going to work is beyond me but hopefully he will be successful in recruiting others.
He's concerned about family values disappearing from Schembechler Hall, and Mike Boren offered him a spot in the family snow plow business if DG decommitted to Ohio State. Plus, he's convinced that RR thinks he's still coaching in the Big East.
i'm not really worried. DG's rivals page has his interest in us as 'high' and every other school is 'none'. he'll commit eventually
Not to be a total pain in the ass, but Rivals had the same for Shavodrick Beaver. How about we just make fun of Tater together?

to do. Just wait until the next round of rumors and he will be all over other recruits if it is not clear they are a UM lock.
the truth is that he's having second thoughts because we don't play night games.

He really, really wants to wear a maize jersey.
