Way too early Vegas Odds for next season
A 3 sentence article, so no need to click the link.
Vegas has the over/under on wins at 7.5 (not too surprising), and has us as 3.5 point dogs to MSU. The Harbaugh effect is in full force, considering they beat us by 24 last year.

I please
You just had to bring up the 24 point loss? I had actually managed to bury that away and virtually forget about it. Thanks for reminding me.
What did Harbaugh say that set off Swartz so bad?
I don't know if he said anything, I think Schwartz was mainly upset at the casual handshake/slap on the back combo.
What are the odds that - in the commission of this act - his facial expression will not change in an observable way? We are talking about someone whose face would quite literally shatter if he ever could be bothered to smile, of course.
I hate that the Buckeyes have it over on us. But the fact that the green people are now perennial favorites makes me want to kick my dog. And I love my dog. Dear Harbaugh, please bring us back to fucking up Sparty four out of every five years. Sincerely, Yossarian.
They weren't our #2 rival, they were another also ran. Damn you Obama.
I know very little about gambling so forgive me if this is a dumb question but I'm curious, do you have to be physically present IN the casino in order to place bets on items like this?
The US currently has some seriously moronic gambling laws at the moment. A friend of mine always makes a late summer trip to place some bets before the college and pro seasons start.
You used "moronic" instead of the "R" word!
Way to not sound ignorant!
but the 3.5 underdog to MSU appears somewhat optimistic at this point. We still have big ?s at QB. I know we all MGoBelieve, but from an outsiders objective perspective, the 3.5 dog prediction seems light.
11, baby!

I am willing to bet 1 million dollhairs on the over here. If we split Utah, Penn St, MSU, OSU are there 3 more games someone sees us losing?
and to my mind, we'll know how the season will go by the 3rd quarter of the Utah game.
Beat them convincingly and the sky is the limit. If they hang 40 on us, it's going to be a bumpy ride. And by bumpy I mean 8-4. None of that 3-9 bullshit.
We might have some idea by the end of Michigan's third drive.
It should definitely give us some idea, but maybe not a perfectly clear picture. I see this team a lot like Michigan State's Rose Bowl team. Totally unknown offense with a stellar D.
They barely beat Western in their opener.
I think if we win an ugly game or lose close, we shouldn't read too much into an offense that looks stale. The defense will definitely have to carry us to start while Rudock figures out who can get open and who has human hands instead of stone, replacement hands. The good news is we have 3 very nice games at home after Utah.
But yeah, if we beat Utah I think we will be undefeated going into Michigan State. If we lose to Utah I don't think the sky is falling, but I don't think we get double digit wins. Like you I think 8 wins is the floor for this group and Jim's first year.

win 8, but it is not a given. Who knows how good this team will be? We have not been good lately, so maybe the talent isn't really there. And splitting the 4 games you mentioned, will not be easy.

a Nevada resident and are in the state at the time that the wager is being placed over the internet.
I moved to Las Vegas from Michigan with my wife 8 years ago to bet on sports. Came here shortly after the US government made it almost impossible to move money using the site 'neteller'.
You can still bet sports offshore today in the U.S. but overall it's a huge pain in the ass.
To my knowledge no one has ever got in any kind of trouble for placing a bet offshore. It seems the government is much more interested in the owners of these offshore sports books (the bookies) as many of them were/are former United States citizens.
