Warren played hurt - is he OK? - I don't see mention in the injury report / presser

Warren was hurt before the punt return collision with JR. I don't think RR has said anything wrt to Donovan's injury...right? With Cissoko gone, I'm wondering what it's looking like for CB vs Illinois. I don't think Donovan had it in him to defend that TD pass he was dinged for in the UFR. He wasn't cutting very well and was clearly limping most of the 2nd half. Did Rogers play CB in high school? I'm thinking he beats out Floyd who is not 100%. Illinois has got to be looking at the secondary and salivating. I'm pretty sure Warren will start but I wonder whether he's going to be 100% as well (he's played through injury before despite being less effective). It is going to get interesting how GERG schemes through these next four games if we take anymore losses in the defensive backfield. (Turner's red shirt is not going to be burned.) If everyone is healthy we may still see the situational nickel with Floyd or Rogers IMO. Woolfolk has been gunning in KO coverage. I wonder given the CB/safety depth concern if he shouldn't be pulled off special teams duty?

I agree with you that he looked hurt last week and probably still is. With the problems we've had at DB, I'm not sure RR wants to announce that Warren is not 100%. I don't believe Juice will be able to exploit Warren, even if he is dinged up.

That is also my concern with C. Brown returning kicks... with Minor dinged up we are one bad special teams play away from our great depth at TB turning into chaos. I'm sure Shaw could handle the increased load... but I'd rather test that assumption next year when needed, not this year due to a special teams injury. Warren should only see the field when the D is out there. Period.

Anymore awesome walk-ons we can turn to? I'm not a super expert on coaching, but I think that when a walk-on safety is starting, then your team is in the hurt locker big time.

warren did look awkward on the touchdown he gave up. he didn't move his hips smoothly and seemed to give more of a cushion down so close to the endzone. he doesn't normally do so and it seemed like he was a little worried about getting to close and then getting burned b/c he couldn't make his normal fast twitch moves.

Yeah. Because if it was any other ethnicity of a walk-on they would be better right? I think you just meant to say walk-on safety, or at least that is what I am reading it as to give you the benefit.
