Video: Bowl Practice in High School Gym

Not much but hey it's something. Denard takes a couple handoffs and everyone looks funny because they don't have shoes on.

If someone could help put it in the OP that would be cool.

Just embed like you normally

Just embed like you normally would, except make sure you check the box on youtube that says "use old embed code" and then copy-paste it into the plain text editor in the OP. At that juncture, I cordially invite thee to let thine revenues outpace thine expenses and thus achieve a satisfactory return on investment.

No problem

I'm not dyslexic, but I definitely read that as "Thanks friend. You're my best man now" and started to get very apprehensive.

WTF?

Anyone else find this mildly alarming that five days before an important bowl game after a mediocre season our team is running around a gym in their socks like a bunch of third grade latch key kids? What time was the game of eraser tag?

This is a must for Florida

This is a must for Florida high schools as the rain season consumes the first 1/4 to 1/2 of the high school season. We can get storms that seemingly form right over you and dump 3-4 inches in less than an hour...it is pointless to practice in that because you can't get anything done. If there is lightening, we must be off the field for 20 minutes from the last bolt within 5 miles IIRC. The only thing I am surprised about is that they do not have gym shoes on so that they can at least get a good look.

Thanks thorin.  I was watching the video it looks like Denard will be the feature tailback out of multiple sets.   I gotta feeling that will see some crazy formations and plays that will scratch our head why and people will say after this game.  Why didn't we use this gameplan against Ohio?

Dangerous

Does anyone else have some concern about the danger of our star athletes running around a slippery gym floor with socks on? It shocks me that there have been no reports of an injury from today.

Practicing In Socks...

One great advanatage of having a team that does in fact recruit all over the place - Jeremy Gallon seemed to know the drill, being a Florida native. He even said it was fairly routine at his high school when the weather was bad, and they practiced in socks in the gym as well (I think that was in Meinke's article).

What it great is to see the team be extremely adaptable and make the most of the awkward situation and work on technique, which still makes this time well spent. The only person that seems like he was limited in what he could do indoors was, not shockingly, Gibbons, who said that he worked as a motivator at this practice (LINK to DetNews article)

Kind of odd that they elected to have practice in our gym, but I suppose there was bad weather today.

About the 1:06 mark after

About the 1:06 mark after Denard takes the handoff and strolls along, it looks like he cocks the ball back to throw it back behind the line of scrimmage at the end of the play, though the video cuts to the next play before we can actually see it.

Is this a sign that his elbow is healed to the pont that he can grip the ball well enough to throw it?  Earlier in the clip he tossed it back underhand.

Can't believe they allowed this

I can't believe the ADpt allowed the news outlets to take such detailed video of our walk through.

The video that the actual AD releases is always a Wayne's World extreme closeup of one player so you can't see what is gonig on the rest of the play.

This shows pretty good detail of what kinds of things they can expect us to do when shifting to an overloaded right side.

If this was an open practice,

If this was an open practice, that means recruits can visit.  I know theres a few recruits in that area, so it would be a perfect oppurtunity for them to get in an unofficial visit
