"Upgrades to AT&T towers could improve service on football Saturdays"
All I can say is: Thank you Michigan football gods..:
Hope this actually helps on Saturdays!

But LTE is supposed to use spectrum more efficiently, which should help.

GSM/ AT&t tower channels don't hold the call and user capacity that Verizon and Sprint ( CDMA) do on their towers for Voice so don't expect a huge improvement in trying to make a phone call.

you're a friggin' idiot.

So service could be upgraded from terrible to suck?

If you really want to improve your service on football saturdays all you have to do is switch to Verizon.

I've had a lot of trouble with 3g from verizon on game days. My buddy's android with 4g does okay (tweets, score checks, etc.), but I think 3g does get overloaded.

This is also my experience. I couldn't help but think of the stadium scene in "Sum of All Fears".

Switched to AT&T this year, had Verizon in the past. Couldn't make any calls and my phone died every gameday due to constant searching for a signal. Hoping this works , anything would be an improvement.

Maybe it is 4g vs. 3g my thunderbolt which is using a 4g phone never has any problem a getting signal on Verizon.

a DAS system installed in the stadium. Even with improved coverage from the towers, gamedays will still overload them. The problem with DAS is they need to hide the antennas installed in the stadium.

Why are you punk kids on your phone at the game? Watch the game and stop sexting each other.
Get off my lawn!

I have Sprint and struggle to get a signal when the stadium is full. Halftime and immediately after game I don't even try any more.

Put the phone away, watch the game, and make plans in advance for after the game. It's really not that hard.
The world we live in now looks like this.
So not true! Not one of those people are texting!
That picture is like.....SO 2003!!!
Dear AT&T...
How about getting some semblance of a signal on North Campus? Yeah, that'd be great.
Sincerely,
Everyone on North Campus
My phone rings, I look at caller ID, see it is my husband.
Me: Hi honey.
Him: Silence.
Me: Hello?
Him: Silence.
Me: HELLO?
Him: Silence.
Me: Let me guess, you're calling me from North Campus again. Call back when you get onto Fuller Road. CLICK.
I have no idea how they are still in bussiness. If you live in LA and have AT&T your calls will be dropped all the damn time.
I've been with Verizon forever and I can't even talk to my friends who have AT&T.
Time will tell...my AT&T iPhone simply adds weight to my pocket during many games at the Big House as it is unusable. It might be a bit unreasonable to build your system for 21 hours a year, assuming that the rest of the year works fine - big assumption.
Insert snort of derisive disbelief here
Oh nevermind, Verizon customers rarely experience dropped calls because their network far supercedes that of AT&T.
Un-war AT&T.
f a tee n tee that is all

Since you keep feeding the monster, it serves you well.
ETF that ____ and live the good life with Verizon.
