Tank? Army? Fitting.
Sorry i'm stupid and don't know how to link or embed.
Thanks man!
*Tanks
(You're welcom)
The hysteria on the blog when it appeared Tank was going to be hired as a position coach for Michigan earlier this year was quite remarkable.
This seems like a more suitable place for a young guy to learn how to coach first. He won't be landing any 5*'s anytime soon, but it's a start. It's probably going to take Tank a while to get up and going before getting a shot with a bigger team.
Best of luck to him.
" It's probably going to take Tank a while to get up and going ..."
Yeah, inertia is a killer on something that large....
I'll show myself out...
Did you know that it takes 5 gallons of gas to just START an M1 Abrams main battle tank?
Their average GPM (gallons per mile) is 2 gallons of fuel burned for 1 mile of travel.
Damn they should put one of those old fashioned hand crank starters on this bad boys ?
did you know that a U of M grad was the first commander of the M-1 division back in the early '80's, and he had tank body number....10. how cool is that.
I thought Ben Herbert was our SC coach
Me too. Per mgoblue.com (which apparently took Tank Wright’s bio page down already), Ben Herbert is the Director of Strength and Conditioning, so it looks like Tank Wright is an assistant.
I was confused at first too. Damn we lost our S&C coach to take the same position at Army? Oh no wait, we had promoted him from S&C coach. Oh, we lost a position coach? Wait wait that didn't actually happen. Assistant S&C coach to take a position job at Army. OK. Makes sense now.
Best of luck to him. This place lost it's damn mind with the mere thought of him being a position coach, but Army should be a good place for him to cut his teeth on that front. Perhaps they'll try to bring him back in a couple of years.

Hey, this would be a good time to take my advice and hire Matt Rhea away from Windiana.
No, Alabama did that already.
