UM-Dearborn Cancels All Fall Athletics
This is very surprising. I didn’t know they had athletics.
This is what I came here to post. Thank you for saying it for me.
That’s too bad. I really thought they were going to beat OSU-Lima this year.
OSU-Lima just picked up a PG named Jeff Jackson. Looks like a one-and-done transfer to the B1G imo. Crazy hook shot in his bag.
And in B1G related news, the Sparty AD is working with the B1G to have only home games for everyone during the B1G regular season.
I hear the other schools tried to argue him out of it but he was sticking to his guns.
To be fair, he was very well prepared with charts and spreadsheets provided by the Sparty mathematics department.
yep, renowned Spartan resolve.
....and I am sure they were very....
I am offended by this.
I am offended by how many repeated letters are in your screen name.
I don't get the downvotes for your legit comment.
We should buy his vowels.
They're also doing a bunch of layoffs including almost half of their lecturers. They're in trouble.
All because of the COVID-19 fake hype.
KILL THE ECONOMY - KILL THE VIRUS - SAVE (NOT) THE WORLD!
You really should work on some new material.
I didn't realize we weren't actually experiencing a pandemic. I'm glad there are people of reason to keep us grounded in reality.
California is getting hammered today. New record of cases by a lot.

One of these days smart people will realize that Case numbers alone for a virus that the majority have zero symptoms of and almost everyone recovers from is not really meaningful.
The only important numbers are hospitalizations and capacity, period. Case numbers reported without those and death trends are malpractice. Yet eaten up by the media and many of us.
One of these days smart people will realize why Trump went to Walter Reed in November.
Would you make this same comment to someone who lost a loved one to COVID-19?
That reporting case #'s without the context of hospitalizations and deaths is wrong? First I'd offer my sympathies then sure, but how does that apply? I'm arguing nothing other than presenting case numbers without the context of hospitalizations and deaths is misleading, and those that negged the comment are just simply wrong.
Deaths have been pretty down the last 5 days. There doesnt seem to be much reporting on that.
Down 90 pct from April 21st yet no one says a word
Couldn’t agree more. The MMM consistently sells cases to continue the narrative.
That's why I check that site. It shows cases and deaths. I haven't found one that tracks hospitalizations. I do think that when we go from having only 1 day exceeding 4000 cases, to having over 6000 today, something happened. My first guess was a data dump of old cases, but California is opening up and has been the scene of many protests starting about a month ago. I hope the 7-day moving average of the fatalities keeps trending downward, but I doubt that's going to happen. I found out today that someone I was talking to last week tested positive. She was wearing a mask, we were 5-6 feet apart, and only spoke for 5-10 minutes. But that's been at the front of my mind all day. CDC says I don't need to take a test, but I should stay home for 14 days. My work didn't notify me even though they know of the positive test. I suppose they think that wasn't a close encounter. I don't know. I'll limit my time outside the house, wear a mask, take my temperature daily, and keep living my life. Fuck covid.
Covid act now is a site that tracks hospitalizations
That's likely from the millions of protesters that been out there last three weeks. The one photo in Los Angeles was the largest swarm of people I've seen in a protest ever.
The virus must have had a field day.
Over 100,000 people dead in this country, it's still not under control, and people are really still out here saying stuff like this. It's amazing
Tiddlywinks--gone! Checkers--so outta here! Cornhole--close but no ceegar!
In other news, UM-Dearborn realizes they had no athletics to begin with
Non-revenue sports everywhere will take a hit this year - some worse than others, especially at smaller schools. Not a surprise when the schools themselves are facing existential crises.
I bet her earlobes taste like marionberries...
wrong thread
Bummer.
