U-M Hockey vs (tHw)ND Saturday Open Thread
Ugh, the Fig Things got figgy with it, scored first, stifled our offense, and scored off of our DZTOs. We stayed out of the damn box, but they mostly did too, taking the only penalty all game. Take care of the puck, plz.

No sugar coating this weekend. Jeff Jacksons shitty suffocating style of hockey kicked our ass all weekend. Got murdered at the faceoff dot too. Bad weekend

What a frustrating weekend of hockey. I sense another overrated Michigan team.
they are now officially under .500 in the league, with 5 points out of 12 possible, behind, Minny, Wiscy, and ND.

you have to get the first goal when you play a team like that an for some reason (maybe the ice size), UM has played better at ND over the years.

Under .500? We're two weekends in. Remain calm. Lots of hockey to play and Mel teams have tended to get better as the season goes - and that should be especially true this year with a ton of great freshmen. We have a great chance to bounce back against a shaky looking Penn State

Mel has to start doing better against Jeff Jackson. No way to sugarcoat it- Jackson has been getting the better of Pearson and we need to start making adjustments to their game. This was a really disappointing weekend.
I feel like a broken record, but Beecher's line needs to be broken up. He has 0 even strength points in 6 games and only a handful of shots on net. Brisson also is scoreless at even strength. They do not play well together. This should have been done before tonight's game, but it's time now. We need Beecher to be a point a game player or our ceiling isn't as high as we thought. He has to be better. We can't expect guys like Johnson and Beniers (who are playing up a year before they are drafted) to carry us.

well Mel is 6-7 against JJ before this weekend, as I mentioned, 1-5 at Yost, 5-1 at ND, 0-1 neutral.

Such a weird stat. The road team has dominated lately
