No offense to wrestlers and other athletes, they deserve their time on BTN too. But I'll never understand why hockey isn't prioritized for primetime Friday and Saturday nights. It's the clear second most prominent sport in the conference throughout the winter. The biggest schools in the conference sell tickets and have great atmospheres to showcase. Hockey shouldn't be relegated to BTN Plus.

In the pregame it was mentioned that Truscott is "banged up," nothing about Samo other than he's out. I'd guess it's the proverbial upper body injury - wasn't he boarded last game? Not sure about Truscott.

Truscott took hit to head &/but surprisingly returned (obvs, with the OT winner, iirc). Sammy took that hit to boarding & left holing arm? shoulder? wrist? in concerning (to me anyway) way. Let’s hope it’s sitting because play it safe, more important to have them 100% later on

When's the last time this penalty has ever been called? I don't have the joy of being at the game or watching on BIG+. The broadcasters weren't too helpful with their explanation. Was he given a warning?

The second warning on a faceoff results in a delay of game penalty. The linesman must have issued a dozen warnings to UM in the first and second periods. I don't know the mechanics well enough to know it was legit, but you could sense the frustration building. Garbage penalty entirely a #refshow.

I know it's PSU and they do this, but getting badly outshot every Friday is not a great trend.

It all depends on the quality of the shots. If the goalie is going to grab it, then it might as well be deflected and sent into net. One's a shot and the other isn't but the result is the same. I agree it would be nice to make the goalie work harder.
