4 star linebacker decommits. Definitely seems like major overhaul in defensive philosophy is inevitable.

Shucks. But give me Lance Dixon and Mike Jones please. 1 big space eating DT and this team has the pieces.

Not at all worried about it. New staff, so I get that he'd want to start over. Don Brown was primary on him, so I wouldn't be surprised if he looks at Arizona.

Have you noticed a lot of recruits have been tweeting the were offered again by Michigan. That speaks volumes to me.
January 28th, 2021 at 7:44 PM ^
I haven't. Can you name drop them if you have a chance?
January 29th, 2021 at 5:02 AM ^
I'm sorry that's paid info. It was on a pay site, so I won't mention names, but I know this was tweeted for free by Sam.
January 29th, 2021 at 7:27 AM ^
Tweets are paid info?
January 28th, 2021 at 8:06 PM ^
So what’s your point?
January 28th, 2021 at 8:13 PM ^
He wasn't re-offered.
January 28th, 2021 at 8:19 PM ^
Ahh got it
January 28th, 2021 at 7:40 PM ^
Good luck young man.

Can't fault the kid if Brown was his dude but it also tells you he wasn't picking Michigan because it's Michigan. Though, he still could come back into the fold. It will be interesting if he starts to look at Arizona.

Unfortunate. When you have talent coming in you want to keep it.
But playing MLB for a defensive regime that produced Devin Bush and seemed to be great at developing Cam McGrone was attractive, and a new staff you don’t know... might not be.
This is not pleasant, but it’s the sort of attrition that is understandable when you’re bringing in new guys to coach the D.
January 28th, 2021 at 10:51 PM ^
Middle linebackers with limited speed who get talked about as full backs or potentially bulking up into defensive ends aren’t replicating Devin bush or cam mcgrone.
To be honest he’s the sort of guy who looks good most of the year and then gets dusted against any team running a spread. Best of luck but it doesn’t seem all that big of a deal.

Positionless in this day and age. FB was his route to PT in my opinion.
Unless he had the frame to add enough weight to play DT, he wasn't a LB and maybe not even an Edge player.
JJ Watt needs to be his goal, IMO (I know that's like everyone's goal...the point is someone who was small in HS and developed into what he is today).
Wish the kid the best, he's a thumper. Wisconsin and Iowa would love to have a kid like him.

A fine young man by all reports. Watch his film...how is this a 4****, or even a 3***, player-so stiff and lacking in appropriate lateral agility and general athleticism??? He is on the wrong side of the "positionless" characterization.

AK 47, most inside traditional 4-3 LB’s get dusted by spread teams with talent. A good coordinator will make your LB’s cover the entire box sideline to sideline. Very rarely do you see shutouts by defense anymore. And even inferior teams with a good QB will make the most talented teams look bad on a couple drives. As bad as UM’s defenses have looked vs OSU’s offense the last couple games they are finding success in the NFL.

Rutgers is decimating msu right now. Msu has 15 turnovers and 11 field goals. I know better than to jinx this with a new post - but I hope some of you discover that there is some entertaining basketball still to be played tonight...
January 28th, 2021 at 8:41 PM ^
53-30 with under 6 minutes to go. The intrigue remains: will msu get 40 points?
January 28th, 2021 at 9:19 PM ^
MSU is beyond bad this year.

Could Foster Loyer and Thomas Kithier play for any other team in the B1G? That says everything you need to know about the Spartans.
January 28th, 2021 at 8:39 PM ^
So this kind of answers the thread right under this one eh?
January 28th, 2021 at 9:08 PM ^
I wonder if he has a bunch of tweets declaring that academics are very important to him and are a big reason why he committed to Michigan.
January 28th, 2021 at 9:18 PM ^
Not good. Not good at all. Next man up, expectation is for the position!
January 28th, 2021 at 9:52 PM ^
Honestly this was a recruit I wasnt all that impressed with. Best of luck though wherever he ends up.
January 28th, 2021 at 10:36 PM ^
So long and good luck! If a kid doesn't really want to play here for whatever reason, it is just best to leave.
January 29th, 2021 at 4:53 AM ^
He basically said he hasn't talked with the new staff at this point. He got processed, so let's move on, the staff has.
January 28th, 2021 at 10:52 PM ^
Who cares? NEXT!
January 29th, 2021 at 12:05 AM ^
When your entire D staff changes, stuff like this happens. I don't blame the kid. Hope he finds a good place for himself.
January 29th, 2021 at 8:52 AM ^
he could never fill mike martin's shoes, and he realized that....
he didn't want to be Oliver Martin, so he decommitted.

To paraphrase Joel Goodman: " Looks like Boston College!"
