Two new football offers extended
OL Riley (6-5, 285) and Austin (6-4, 285) Anderson from Mineola, TX have been offered. Both are three stars on Rivals and 24/7 but, they are both rising as they have offers from big time programs (TCU, TX Tech, Ill, K St, SMU, Houston, Vandy, ASU etc).
twins?
do come in pairs
carry on.
Good time to get them off the house and drink them as the temps are due to rise soon!
(look at avatar photo. attempted humor...)
Its pretty cool that they're offered and I hope we get them. But why did you make a post for them?
I thought some here would be interested. I do like the fact that this staff is recruiting FLA, TX, and CA very hard! We need elite players.
I wish Mgoboard had a sub-board just for recruiting.
Then we could post about each and every single offer without it cluttering the main mgoboard.
I rarely post recruiting stuff, but thought it was interesting that we offered a pair of brothers.

Profile says he is Dual-threat/OLB. Michigan is recruiting him at OLB. A USC committ, but open to other schools.
#132 overall and #12 OLB.
I chose to look at this story over the Faygo soda pop story on my own. Thanks for posting this info, maybe if their names were more exotic you would have gotten a pass for posting football news on this blog.

I thought you said you were going back to lurker status...
and in true Mgoblog fashion you even included a link, thank you! thanks for noticing me magnus ;), I'm already taken tho...
No TX, A&M or OU, the big time local programs. As good as TCU is, they don't recruit at the same level.
Which isn't the same thing as "big time programs." The only truly nationally-relevant schools besides Michigan that have offered Austin are KSU, TCU, and Missouri, and calling those schools "big time programs" is a bit of a stretch.
That doesn't mean that we shouldn't be offering these kids; at this point I trust Harbaugh and Drevno without reservation. The Andersons appear to be solid prospects at a position that's notoriously difficult to accurately predict in advance, so it's not necessary to engage in grade-inflation.
I'll take theirs over ours. Aren't all P5 teams "big time" in the grand scheme? LIke a bell curve distribution along these lines, with +/- national relevance crossing between Big Time (relevant) and Schools You've Heard Of (not relevant)

Would that address your grammatical and connotational concerns about the varied definitions of big time, and make you feel better?

good call.
I'm sure that they are good at football, but "big-time" offers from whom? TCU has been great the last few years, but of the schools that you listed, I wouldn't call them "big-time" by any means. Bama, FSU, Okla, USC, THOSE are BIG-TIME offers. Perhaps they will materialize down the road, and with that said those are nice offers for 3* guys. And we know that a TX 3* is pretty good.
