Today's Schedule of Games
October is here! No more college football OOC cupcakes, it's time for some intra-conference hard cider.
Lots of good matchups today. The question is, will we be in a good enough mood after our game to want to watch them?
At noon: Michigan - Wisconsin. Wisconsin Defensive Coordinator Jim Leonhard did is a favor when he went on the record this week, saying that he intends to make Michigan play more balanced and force the game in the QB's hands. Not that it's not an obvious game plan against us, but it removes all possible doubt. No 75% running 25% passing mix, no matter what Harbaugh wants to do. Cade won't be able to just passively manage the game by handing off, he's going to have to go out and win the game, at Camp Randall. As it should be.
Also at noon: Arkansas - Georgia. Hogs versus Dawgs. Woo Pig surprised me last week, I thought A&M would stomp them. Now I think that Georgia will stomp them. Maybe someday I will get on board.
In the afternoon at 2:30: Cincinnati - Notre Dame. My heart says Cincinnati. My head says Notre Dame. Screw it, I'm going with the Bearcats. Save college football from another season of a fraudulent Notre Dame stealing a slot in the CFP.
Also in the afternoon at 3:30: Ole Miss - Alabama. Kiffin versus Saban. Yippie dog versus grumpy dog. Ole Miss will score a bunch of points and make Saban even more grumpy, they always do. But Saban will be grumpy, as he always is, with a win.
Also at 3:30: Ohio State - Rutgers. We always to that thing where we struggle with a "bad" team, and then declare that that team will be this year's surprise phenomenon and rise up and bite everyone. And then it never happens, it just turns out that we were not very good. So . . . is Rutgers really this year's phenomenon, or it it just us? We'll get a good read on that today.
Also at 3:30: Oregon - Stanford is worth a look. Is Oregon really that good (or Ohio State really that bad)?.
At night at 7:30: Indiana - Penn State. You go Penn State, use that White Out night game against Big Ten foe Indiana (and not us). It will probably be overkill. Indiana will hang around for a while but PSU will win it comfortably.
Also at night at 7:00: Baylor - Oklahoma State. The Big 12 championship still goes through Oklahoma . . . but it may be Oklahoma State. I'm going with the Cowboys in this one.
Also at night at 9:00: Auburn - LSU at night is always fun. Not as much fun without Les Miles, but still fun. I think LSU pulls this one out.
Late at night at 10:30, your Pac 12 After Dark Special - meaningless crazy football just for the fun of it - Arizona State - UCLA. This looked early on in the season like it would be a big matchup of highly-ranked teams with a shot at the CFP. But alas, it winds up here in Pac 12 After Dark territory, as you always knew it would.

Here's a fancy schmancy schedule link with some nice aesthetically pleasing graphics:

Thank you. much easier to read than my phone. Got the grass cut and beer cold. Don't plan on leaving the house today.

Same here! It's an absolutely GORGEOUS day outside, but I'll be stuck on a couch watching football all day. I really need to wire up a TV on my deck...

Cracks me up that a team that beats all the other teams in contention is fraudulent. Advice to all the other teams, don’t lose games you shouldn’t, or don’t complain. It’s that simple.
Not ND’s fault all the other teams poop the bed (like Michigan at home against a bad MSU team), and they handle their business. And both CFP games they were closer in losses to the eventual champions than the team in the title game. Michigan needs to beat a 1-2 Wisconsin & MSU, and not worry about others.

Why do you even come here? I'm seriously asking. I actually like it when fans of opposing teams come to the board. They often bring a good perspective and engage in a little gentle ribbing. But you obviously can't take it when fans on a Michigan board make even minor snide comments about your team.
I'm not telling you to go away or trying to be a dick. I'm seriously wondering because I just don't understand it.

I can't believe I'm rooting for Lane Kiffin. Gross.???

Thanks as always M-Dog! Michigan game is in 4K for those interested.
Got some beef and bacon chili cooking right now and some Hatch Green Chile cornbread in the oven. Gonna be a great day!
Really digging that FOX has put some bigger games on at noon. I suspect with their huge Big Noon ratings that other networks will start doing the same.

my mancave is performing extremely well this year. Took me 2 years of hard work to get it here, I converted a 200 SQFT shed into an in law unit..... OK... OK...so it's actually my own personal bar with sliding glass doors leading to covered decks all around. The side facing the house is for grilling and the side facing my fruit trees has a gym. (it doesn't get too cold in Oregon in winter)
the two TVs will be on:
Morning: Mich vs wisky( I don't know what to expect) and Georgia vs Ark.( Georgia in a blowout)
Afternoon: ND vs Cin (I guess ND here) and OSU vs Rut ( please Rutgers, please)
Night: whatever games seem close
WFI also reaches to my mancave, so I have the option to go to 3 games
I love fall. I feel lucky for my good fortunes in life. Times were not always this good for me.
Today is going to be a great day.
Go BLUE!

Just . . . wow.

Nice line up. Thanks M Dog.

My Broncos are moving on to 4-1 barring a complete meltdown. A shaky 7-7 first half. Poor kicking game, but ball control and dominant O line wore down Buffalo. Now 24-10 late.

A lot of Bearcat fans in Notre Dame Stadium
