Wow, Estel did not live too long, passing away at 61. I remember a lot of players from the 40s and 50s were attending the games when I was student in the early to mid 80s. Now most of them are only with us in spirit.
We are almost down to two weeks before kickoff.

24 was my number when I played, so it's close to my heart. You have to love Estel's form in the picture, very Greco-Roman. Jack Clancy was my favorite Wolverine when I started going to games, in the days before Ron Johnson, and he wore #24.
