There Are....

There are....Sainristil days until we play again. No, wait.  There are...D.J. Turner days until we play again.  Either way, there are 5 days until we play UGA on NYE.  5 days until bad news for the Bulldogs.  

Sainristil has been a stalwart for us at wide receiver with some great plays and with run blocking that does not get nearly enough attention as he wipes out opposing defenders helping 3 and 5 yard runs become 23 and 35 yard runs.  Interestingly, he was born in Haiti, grew up in Massachusetts, speaks Creole, and sings, plays violin, piano and drums.  The kid is his own church music band and a champ on the field wearing the maize and blue.  So glad to have him suiting up for the Wolverines.

Meanwhile, D.J. Turner has had an "amaizing" year manning the defensive backfield.  Many Michigan fans had trepidations about the back end of our defense.  D.J. didn't get his first start until we played Northwestern on October 23rd, yet he finished the year as an Honorable Mention All Big-Ten DB.  Among other contributions, he had 8 tackles v. ohio and did a fantastic job covering their NFL receivers.  He had a pick-6 against Maryland and has taken time to return punts.  Originally from Georgia, he went to IMG Academy his senior year of high school.  

Now it's down to 5 days.  You can count that on one hand.  Or your foot.  Or you can use a few digits from various appendages, but ladies and germs, we are down to 5 days. 

Hopefully you all had a meaningful celebration yesterday for those that do such things, or at a minimum had a restful and pleasant day.  Eyes forward now though.  5 days until the CFP.
