T-Shirt Countdown hits 2006, which is one of my most favorite shirts of the collection, if not the most favorite. While the stats on the back are cool, some of which don't seem to apply to football all that well...

At least  he had one good team to play on in 1964. Bump was just a 1 point loss to Purdue from going undefeated. Back then the polls ranked their teams before the bowl games. Alabama was 1 and Arkansas was number 2, both undefeated, so Michigan may have been number 2 if they would have beaten Purdue.

These countdowns are great.

This one in particular with Mike Bass was very enlightening for me; I had no idea that the Lions had Bass for 2 years and that they were clueless how to make use of him and his talents other than mostly stashing him away on their taxi squad.  Why does this not surprise me?!

Once Bass escaped he became a defensive star for Washington and one of their all-time greats.

16 is "Sweet Sixteen."

But 15? Feckless Fifteen? (Can't decide if it's closer to 10 or 20.) Fierce Fifteen? ("I'm a man!") Flibbertigibbet Fifteen? (Cuz it's fun to say.)

Well I do remember the other Bass, Antonio, however Mike was before my time!

Wow just learned Mike Bass was the one who scooped up that Garo Yepremiam fumble and took it in for a TD.  Now that is something I do remember watching via tape over the years.
