Today's video features a lot of action from #17...
Given his bridge-burning response, I'm not hopeful, but here's to WD finding his way and a brighter future from last week's sad-all-around situation.
Enjoy.

1st and 3d quarters were really frustrating. 2d quarter was fine. 4th quarter, iffy.

Isn’t this the game where Higdon got called for holding after he faked taking the handoff and plowed into the middle of the line and got tackled?

Yep. And it's STILL frustrating.
Another example of human failing: watching it again, I could see how a ref could take in the rapid sequence of events, add it to preconceptions about how plays like that usually run, see a defensive player go down at the same time as a smaller offensive player, and KNOW that it's holding, just like all other plays that look the same. AND I bet, our brains being what they are, the ref probably recognized it was a wrong call almost immediately.

He has the option of telling the ref that there was no foul on the play. He didn’t do that.

Well, maybe not "immediately." But soon.
Or maybe it's just me who makes mistakes and recognizes it right away. As an ump for our softball games, or for my son's games when the ump doesn't show up, every once in a while, I make a call, sense that it's wrong, and by the next play or next batter, I know it was wrong.

I was at this game. It was the least enjoyable win I've ever seen. Just a slog the entire time.

T-Shirt Countdown hits 2004 today, and, IMO, this one doesn't quite date well to be frank...

Beatles: "She was just seventeen, y'know what I mean..."
Why seventeen? Because "sixteen" and "eighteen" have two syllables, putting the rhythm out of whack.

Sam,
1863 because of Gettysburg? The Emancipation Proclamation? Other?

Blue,
Your guess was spot on. My great x4 grandfather's name was Sam, he served in the 24th Michigan of the Iron Brigade during the Civil War, and he was wounded at the Battles of Chancellorsville and Gettysburg.
So the name honors him, as well as my Dad, who was a Civil War nut, and who discovered all the info about Sam. It's also why I use the Iron Brigade monument as my icon.

Cool story, bro!

Thank you for your great grandfather x4 for his service.

So cool, Sam. Respect. And respect to your dad for tracking down the info.
(I almost didn't check back on this. Glad I did.)

Can't wait for that, hopefully his services will be minimally needed this season

Please, no one mention Winger.
Oh crap....I just did.

The grown men and women who manage and orchestrate the publicity/marketing of boy bands must be some twisted motherfuckers.
