There Are...

Days until Michigan opens the season seeking redemption vs Vandy.

Once of the greatest developments of recent Michigan history came from a 3rd generation Wolverine, not to mention the 3rd to play in Omaha.

This is a player who batted .175 his Jr Year, he was a career .252 hitter with 2 HRs and 14XBH in his first 3 years.  Bakich didn't write him off, and in 2019 he anchored our lineup and came up HUGE when it mattered most.

In 13 postseason games he had 7 HRs and 17RBIs.  One that folklore of Oregon State baseball asserts to be the longest in stadium history.  He had 15 HRs all year... 7 in 13 postseason games!!!  This guy definitely goes down as one best turnaround stories and one of the most clutch Michigan players of all time, any sport.

Thanks for the memories Jimmy Kerr!

I’m hoping he lives up to expections too.  2 guys that will make instant impacts are Jimmy Obertop at DH /1B and Steve Hajar is on track to take a starting role on the mound.  Both impressed a lot of people in the fall.  Rotation will probably be Criswell, Paige and Hajar or Dragnani.  People tend to forget about him, he had Tommy John surgery after a freshman all American campaign, so he’s a wildcard.

Not gonna lie, I thought this was going to be a football countdown. My immediate reactions were:

(a) There are definitely more than 99 days until the season starts, and OP is about to get downvoted into Oblivion for starting before that, and

(b) I am ready to get hurt again. Bring on the season.

-1 for stealing that other guy's schtick.

Also, on behalf of us baseball nerds that follow this team every year, I beg the bandwagon fans from last year to lay off the morose bullshit when the season goes as it normally does.
