Thought experiment: How would Jim Harbaugh have used Denard?

Well.

More like RichRod than Borges... Look at Colin Kaepernick's stats (2013: 92 attempt for 524 yards, 2012: 63-414 for half a season, 2014: 104-639).

That is exactly why I took the following Friday off. Plus it will be a nice four-day weekend considering I will be off on Labor Day.

shoelaces flopping in the wind, goes all the way to the endzone! 87 yards for the touchdown!"

I'm going to miss playing Notre Dame every year. Denard made watching those games so much fun...And the one year with Tate. So many great plays.

You cutoff the best part!
"He's to midfield! And they'll never catch him!"
I'll always love that call because of those two sentences. Just the fact that once he broke into the open field, you could be so confident that nobody would ever catch up... special player.

for Shoelace afterburners in clip 1, and the creative well-designed play called "bounce lateral for TD" in clip 2. Mesmerizing. .

I was a big homer for this. How could I not be? The only game I picked less than 50 percent was Ohio State.

Your survey will be biased by the maize colored classes that we all wear.
You need to survey a nuetral crowd and throw out the ridiculous outliers like the one I just put in there for you. If have already thought of that, then you are way ahead of me and the remainder of my post is probably meaingless.
I apologize that my fandom will not let me pick less than a 100% guarantee for victory in everything that Michigan does. I tried to pick less then 100% on some of them too. I had to go back and change them.
It would be very interested to see what this blog says to that survey when compared to nuetral crowds as well as ones biased to our rivals.
August 18th, 2015 at 12:19 PM ^
Yeah, I fully intend to throw out outliers. I recognize that the blog will be naturally biased towards extra wins, but there are a lot of skeptics on here too (especially after the last few years).
I'm not necessarily trying to prove the theory applies to this scenario; I view it as more of a cooperative competetion to see how well we as a blog can predict the outcome. Can we do better than Dr. Feng? He predicts 7.7 wins. See here: http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/det-news-article-predicting-number-michigan-wins-season
If I were trying to get the most accurate prediction, you're right I would need to get others' input. I'd need a lot more people with a neutral opinion of Michigan and some rival fans to balance us out. However, I do not have a good forum to solicit these responses, nor would they be very motivated to fill the survey out. I'm open to suggestions, though.

I will prrobbly lose sleep the night before. The opener never ges old!
August 18th, 2015 at 2:27 PM ^
Through the years, whether they have been up or not so much, the opener has been the closest thing to Christmas around here - actually, it is Christmas, I believe, to a fair number of people around here. I will probably not be sleeping much on the night of the 2nd either, so I can identify.

One of them involved was Te'o, and I'm pretty sure Omameh pancaked his girlfirend at the snap of the ball, too.
August 18th, 2015 at 9:17 AM ^
9 receptions, 153 yards, 2 TD against the Florida Fighting Tebows in the 2008 Capitol One Bowl.
August 18th, 2015 at 9:49 AM ^
One of thos receptions was a sick one-hand stretch on the sideline.

I was hoping to see a Steve Smith picture in there today. Probably one of the most underated quarterbacks at Michigan during my lifetime.
August 18th, 2015 at 12:20 PM ^
Sorry to say that I have never heard of him.

We are getting SOOO close! I can feel it!
Loved this run by denard:
August 18th, 2015 at 9:45 AM ^
basically stops, because he's all, "this play is over". Then you know he's thinking, "WHAT THE...." because he has to start running again.
August 18th, 2015 at 9:47 AM ^
He had no chance even if he didn't stop. He's not going to catch Shoelace!
August 18th, 2015 at 9:50 AM ^
That was a great run, but it's tough for me to watch highlights of games we lost.

No, the sugar bowl season we had them at home. This clip was from the 2012 game. We haven't won in Columbus since 2000 :(
