There's a Former Michigan Player in the Fan Controlled Football League

I always enjoy scouring the rosters of teams in obscure football leagues in search of former Wolverines. The newly rebranded Fan Controlled Football League started play earlier this month with four teams all playing in Duluth, Georgia. The big names in the league are Johnny Manziel and Deondre Francois, but there's also an ex-Michigan player on the roster. Can you guess who it is?

Time's up. It's Berkley Edwards - son of Stan, brother of Braylon, former Michigan, Minnesota and CMU player. He spent six years in college playing for three teams, finishing up by playing special teams for Michigan.

If you want to see him score a touchdown, go to the 6:03 mark of THIS VIDEO.

Good luck, Berkley!

I'd never heard of the Fan Controlled Football League, and had to look it up on wikipedia:

Sounds ridiculous to me, but it's hard to imagine it's going to last very long.

Incredible busts and flameouts are a regular occurrence in the NFL, and Manziel is one of the more notable ones.

I know the guy that runs it. It's the 3rd incarnation of this fan run league. This is 7 on 7. His last venture was full pads. He had an app. The games were streamed on twitch and you'd vote on the plays. There were preferred users so if you paid more you could get more votes. It was novel but I'm not sure it was viable. If it was why did he bail?

He was also on the Canadian version of Shark Tank but didn't get money. He is, if nothing else, tenacious.
