Hope he recovers well. Seems as though he's kept his nose clean and out of trouble the last few years, but maybe I haven't been paying enough attention.
I know a lot of people around here don't like him for whatever his role was in the Brendan Gibbons incident, and I definitely get that. He's not my favorite person, either. I will say this, though. Whatever he did to those OSU fans after the 2013 game, maybe he should've been the bigger man and walked away, but let's be honest, in the realm of natural justice, those assholes got exactly what they deserved. You walk into the Brown Jug on a Saturday night, after the entire town of Ann Arbor is fuming and pissed about the results of the OSU game, and decide to run your mouth about beating their team? When you are clearly outnumbered? And when the starting left tackle who probably has at least a foot and 100 lbs on you happens to be around?
I held (and still hold) zero sympathy for those guys. It's not like Lewan killed them or put them in a coma. You run your mouth in the wrong place, and you deserve to get your ass kicked.
