Tailgating Golf Course Style

Info I be needing:

1) What's the official stand on closing the golf course in inclement weather - that is, is it always closed when it rains?

2) Also, given that MSU is a big game, what time would you suggest someone arrives at said golf course on Saturday? 

3) Also also, if the golf course is closed do you have a back up spot that you would suggest?

They'll usually announce closure of the golf course lots in advance, check MGoBlue.com for details.  But if it's going to rain, it's pretty likely it will be closed.

You can try to get there early and park at the car wash on S Industrial near Stadium, or something along those lines, still not a bad walk and you can tailgate there.  But if the course is closed you'll probably have to get there pretty early.
