Tailgate Lot for the opener???

Submitted by GoBlueBBQ on

I'm looking to tailgate for the opener in Dallas and wondered where everyone will be located.  Do we have a lot that will be Michigan heavy?  The new GoBlueBBQ pit will make its debut.

I bought a parking pass in lot 11 per info from umbig11 that was posted on here about a month ago. I plan on trying to do a little tailgating. Although the last trip there for the Alabama game the temperature was crazy hot. But the kickoff is a little earlier this time so maybe it won't be so bad.

It's going to be brutally hot. Its not supposed to be below 95 for the next 10 days here. There's not a lot of shade cover, so bring your sunscreen. I'll be there. hopefully we have a very pro blue crowd!

Wake up, chill inside at your house or bar, drink beers and watch the game on TV.  Save a bunch of money, eat better food, have drinks at your fingertips, and use a clean restroom.  It'll be better than tailgating outside in the Jerryworld parking lot and then watching the game on a big TV there.

I live W Houston and will make the trip up Friday - 4th trip to JerrahWorld...

Would love to discuss the Lions 24-pt 2nd half comeback in 2011, not so much the 2014 season playoff game in 2015...

That game was 29 degrees.  Methinks it will be much closer to the aforementioned 100 on blacktop for this one -

Where do you watch the games when going out in HTown?  CT Midtown/other?  I miss the Mezz Lounge...

I have been to a few games down at Jerry World, just know that they only let you tailgate along the outer ring of the parking lots on the grass areas.

We will be in lot 14, the RV designated area. Since this is the quinquennial UM game at Jerryworld, we're replicating essentially what we did for the 'Bama game, rented large RV, catering in TX BBQ (Hard 8), icing up a couple kegs and staying under the pop up canopies. No grilling for this hombre, way too hot in DFW early Sept, easier to have your meats delivered by a pro.
You find us under the large blue ballon. Have about 25 ppl planned for the pre-game.
Getting very stoked, under 3 weeks away!
