Student Ticket Policy

Submitted by jb5O4 on

I am going to be visiting Ann Arbor the weekend of the Illinois game. If you use a student ticket do they scan your student ID? I still have my MCard from when I was a student there but it wont scan if they do that. Do the gate people just look at your mcard?

I went for 2 seasons after graduating and they just looked at it.  They have so many students to deal with, there's no way they could scan everyone's card.

When I was a student they just looked at your MCard but they also didnt scan the tickets until my last year. I was at the OSU game last year with a student ticket but I can't remember if they scanned IDs. I had my ID and a friends MCard. So I dont remember what they did,

Also your student M-Card lasts for 5 years from the time it leaves the machine. Thus I suggest "losing" your M-Card about a month before you graduate.  Go down to the SMAC, pay 10 bucks and get an M-Card with an expiration date 5 years from that date.  I'm a student until 2014 according to the M-Card.

They don't even look at the picture. I have two ID's after I found my lost one a week later after I got a new ID. The only places that scan ID's are the CCRB, NCRB, IM building and AATA buses.
