This thread could really use a better and more accurate title. One reason double posts happen is because of titles like "Not cutting it." Just saying, a possible revision might be in order.
Other than that, victorsandbest basically said everything you need to know

I would say that the title of this thread is not cutting it... Try again.

Might as well embrace it at this point.

It's all out of love.
Not in a long, long while, though I had absolutely no problem with it at the time (just found it funny). Not trying to hate, I've always appreciated the consistently useful info a ton.

What, is he riding into town on horseback?

Getting into school early usually means that you've completed the necessary school work (which involves summer school), satisfied the necessary NCAA paperwork (SAT/ACT scores), and gotted admission from the University.
It's not unusual at all for a guy to shoot for early enrollment but come up short and still qualify for fall enrollment.
Has something happened that I've overlooked that indicates that the fall is out of the question? I mean...he can STILL take the SAT again. Hell, if Michigan is okay with it, he can still take it twice. (Dennis Scott took it 16 times and only got 700 on his final attempt, taken in June of his senior year)

That's a lot of cheese.

when compared to paying for college for at least a year.

Of course it's not significant when compared to something much more expensive. But 16 times multiplied by $45* per attempt is $720.
However, methinks he probably got a waiver for some, if not all, of his tries.
*back in the 80s it was probably cheaper
I knew his SAT prep coach (who had also worked with former Indiana Pacer and college-washout Kenny Williams). Stu Vetter brought him in to work with Scott.
I got the impression that the school (Flint Hill) paid the SAT coach. So I'm guessing that the school paid for the tests as well.
