Some Fan Day questions

Submitted by dieseljr32 on

With Fan Day coming up this Sunday I have a few general questions about it.  I would love everyone's opinion.

1) Where is a good place to park?

2) I'm thinking about getting there at 9:30, is that early enough?

3) Which line should I get in? When I went in 2008, I got RR's signature plus the Tight Ends and Kickers.

4) Which position group do you think will have the most people waiting in line?

I dunno I've only ever been to one, we had our times wrong and showed up about an hour after it start... bad mistake, I'd pick one side of the ball and stick with it... or split up if you're in a group. I went last year and got the defense (except the DLine... it was a 2 hour line, I was pissed I didn't BG's signature.)

Anyway If you're getting offensive guys autographs show up early... very early.

Oh and If you bring a yellow sharpie for autographs... don't expect the players to give it back.

to go to the old media/picture day with my dad when it was open to the public... to me it was by far better then fan day... the players were a lot easier to get to for autographs (unless their name is drew henson)... to me it was just an overall better experience... in 2008 my dad and i showed up to fan day an hour before it started and it was already packed... the length of the line for richrod was insane and people were already in line for players autographs not even knowing who would be sitting where...

I also went to it in 2008, but if I recall correctly, there was only one entrance to the practice field which really jammed things up. Since it is back at the Big House this year, hopefully they will have more than one gate opening for the fans.

I looked at the fan day map this year, and they have the QB's split between the O-line and TE lines. Who knows which QB's will be in what line. Does anyone know if they will have posters this year? I have 8x10's for the QB's, but nothing else.

Are you able to walk on the field or see any other interesting parts of the stadium (locker rooms, walk the tunnel, etc...)?  I'm interested in bringing my daughters, and while I doubt they'd be interested in waiting in line for hours to see the players, both they and I would love to walk out the tunnel and see the new turf.

to get a lot of autographs your best bet is to wait outside the tunnel after fan day is over... as said above the lines are going to be LONG and you might only be able to get a couple of players in the allotted time...
