Snyder: Auburn had our signals

Submitted by Cold War on

Kansas State switched up its offensive signals Thursday night because coach Bill Snyder believed Auburn was stealing signs.

"They're getting our signals," Snyder told ESPN sideline reporter Samantha Ponder, adding that the Wildcats changed up some of their signals during halftime.

Auburn coach Gus Malzahn denied any first-half advantage after the game, which the Tigers won 20-14.

"No, no," he said when asked if Auburn knew the signals.

I'm sure that had something to do with an end zone INT (that should have been a TD) and 3 missed field goals...and a fumble.

Stolen signals or not, KSU has no one but themselves to blame for that loss. You can't leave 16 points on the field against a top 5 team and expect to win.

Or maybe Auburn is really well coached and put their players in the best position to make plays. If your coaches make good calls and your guys are coached up you should be able to shut down other teams. K St coaches are weak for making that statement to a media source. Stealing signs? No idiot. When you go 2 back out of the gun i think theres a good chance you're going to run.

Teams figured out Michigan's signals last year. Whenever we lined up in tackle over opponents would have a guy find me in the stands and if I was punching myself in the face they knew we were running to the double-OT side.

If a team is unable to successfully disguise their play calls then they deserve to be taken advantage of. It's not cheating, it's taking advantage of an opponents weakness. Can't stand BS excuses for a loss, get better.
