The upshot: he's been a model prisoner, and the breakdown of 11 parole criteria detailed in the article makes it seem very likely that he'll be paroled on October 1st. It also makes it sound as if he'll have to stay in Nevada, rather return to the home he established in Florida so that their homestead laws would prevent the Goldmans and Browns from seizing it to chip away at their $33M civil judgement against him.

He could make a good bit of change in Las Vegas, but one wonders if he'll bother, if every penny goes to the Goldmans and Browns.

If you haven't seen it, its highly recommended.  Besides giving tremendous societal insights into race relations in L.A. and how the unhealthy dynamic certainly contributed to the surprising verdict, it has great courtroom scenes and really captures the trial drama and strategy in a very-true-to-experience fashion.

And the scene where OJ appears before the Nevada Parole Board and gets questioned about the grisly double homicide is PRICELESS.  Makes me believe parole is unlikely.

As a matter of background, I was a newby LA lawyer during the Rodney King riots -- having fled downtown as I watched the city burn, started as a public defender during the OJ Bronco slow-speed chase, and the OJ  trial was a great topic of conversation amongst my peers.  Watched the verdict in presiding court with collegues, including a good friend prosecutor.

25 years later I'm still a trial lawyer, having represented many charged with grisly offenses and having tried (and won and lost) many difficult cases.  What you see in this trial is how the unexpected comes up, minute details which can be exploited by talented attorneys, and how the social construct, i.e. institutional racism in LA directly led to what appears to most, including me, as a horrible miscarriage of justice.

O.J. was a monster.  That double homicide was incredibly gruesome.

Hilarious move by TB. That looks like it actually took some time to put together. Makes me wonder if he sat there and printed those things out and glued them to a poster board like a kid doing a school project. Giggling the whole time, while wearing a Goodell clown-face t-shirt.

Isn't it worthless to anyone, except Tom Brady? You can't sell it, you can't show it off, you can't even wear the damn thing, unless you sleep in it alone at home.

I think you may be able to sell it in another country. Although if it was me I would just wait 7 years or whatever the statute of limitations is for stealing a jersey.

...I think I read something to the effect of Brady saying that this wasn't the first time one of his jerseys had been swiped from the locker room? Not quite sure if it was a SB jersey or not, but I vaguely recall that it was. I'll try to find that quote.

Edit: Found this. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2017/02/06/game-worn-super-bow…

Not a SB jersey, but in 2004, someone swiped a TB jersey and it didn't show up until 2014 at an auction!
