SIAP: But The Phone Book Is Out! (updated official roster)
Why aren't all the cool kids talking about it?!
Sainristil is now #0, meaning he isn't playing offense or at least not when Clemons is on the field.
He is listed as a DB/WR.
Walk-On QB Jesse Madden is now playing S.
Rayshaun Benny is pushing 3-hundo. Mason Graham at 317 is a D1 player, right now. Grant is 356, lol.
Hello Cam Goode, making 5 guys over 300 on the DL.
McGregor is 6'6, 261...he should just change his number to #97. (Welschof is #96 is 6'7, 266).
Mike Morris is 292 and plays "EDGE"...wow.
Hello Andrew Gentry. 6'7, 312...sign me up! And a 20 year old freshman. 21 years old before we play OSU.
Freshman, Brandon Mann was a scholarship QB at Kent State before walking on at Michigan.
Joel Honigford is back! However, Gabe Newburg is not.
I'm guessing the number change is because DJ Turner also had #5, so one of them had to switch to both play defense at the same time.
Correct.
Yup, and he can switch jerseys during the game to play offense if necessary.
Thanks for the recap. Welschof seems really light for a DT, even a passing down specialist. Did he lose weight to kick out to DE?
He is now listed as an EDGE. So they've got him in the Hutchinson role as well.
Honingford has been back for quite a while.
Newburg is medically retired.
Honigford never left.
My point was that he's still on the roster.
i thought the scale stopped at 350 because that's what onwenu always was

I hope the Sainristil move is because he is such a good athlete and natural at CB (from his HS days), and Henning is too good to share snaps. I say that because Mike was DAMN GOOD in the slot last year

They also have Bell coming back and he's likely to play a lot of slot with Wilson, CJ and Anthony on the outside. Just a lot of WRs. I hope Sainristil is playable at CB, but might take a year to get back into it.
And that's probably ok if Johnson is ready to go sooner than later, because Turner and Green are still pretty good.
He was recruited to play DB, but was given the choice to play WR.
You've got Bell who can play the slot, opening the outside spots for Johnson and Wilson (and Anthony and Clemons).
Henning is there, then Morris. And he can always come back.
But there was a need at Nickel once Dax left and Sainristil took it and is now a starter on D. Allowing Moore (who was injured in the spring) to focus on S, replacing Brad Hawkins.
Good points all around there. I love Rod Moore. He made some pretty important tackles vs OSU (Henderson run, another tackle on 3rd down around the 5) that turned 6 points into 3. Under Harbaugh we’ve always had safeties who are really good tacklers in the open field. Wilson, Delano, Metellus, Hawkins, and now Moore are all examples of that.

He can cover too. Moore was an excellent find.
That scene in the movie is imprinted on my brain.
I'm not sure if I'm glad (indication that I'm a normal part of our culture) or sad (brain space being taken up so insistently on something that's not even that funny).
Not even that funny?! That movie is a classic.
This is the type of spontaneous publicity - your name in print - that makes people!

Of tall note:
Persi 6'8" 309 lbs
Bounds 6'8" 311 lbs
Gentry 6'7" 312 Ibs
Why aren't all the cool kids talking about it?!
I don't know, you'd have to ask them. Probably busy having the sex or something.
Alright, I'm back. What did I miss?
That was quick.
Yeah, but still came in 2nd place.
Derrick Moore being 6'3 280 is interesting. Maybe he gets moved inside?
I doubt it...he plays Hutchinson's positon, IMO.

McBurrows is a thick corner. I’m interested to see how it works out because it seems like he was really on the radar/getting a lot of hype last year.
And I wonder if they’re still going to look at Mullins at RB. Size wise he’d be by himself in the room and if my memory serves me right he didn’t look that out of place in the spring game.
Mason Graham is going to get playing time this year, isn’t he?
Really hoping Benny steps into a major role. Might still be a year away from him hitting his stride though.
McBurrows will get time...wouldn't be surprise if both he and Johnson pass Green by the end of the year.
Mullings will still get a look as the BIG RB, especially in fall camp. That role is still undecided.
When we left the spring, Mullings was slightly ahead of Dunlap for that role. But Alex Orji is coming on, I wouldn't be surprised to see them abandon the BIG RB in favor of Orji at QB and a lead blocker (Honigford? Barnhart? Another TE?)
It's not like there will be a ton of snaps in that role, Corum runs hard and is now 210. Edwards isn't really that kind of back, but he can run between the tackles. Between the two of them and throwing the ball more...I don't see a ton of "and short" runs for someone who hasn't touched the ball all game.
I wouldn't be surprised to see them abandon the BIG RB in favor of Orji at QB and a lead blocker (Honigford? Barnhart? Another TE?)
Problem is they have not be able to run that package effectively... ever?
The Pep-cat stuff worked a few times before everyone realized he was never going to throw. Villari didn't get a ton of run in his package, but again it was run run run run run.
They tried to let Haskins throw once against MSU in '20 and it was almost picked off.
Would be great if they could get an extra body in there as a blocker, but it can't be a tell. The days of the Belldozer at OU and Ronnie Brown at Miami (he threw quite a bit) are pretty much over.

Can you please pass some of that over to me?
Even dreams don't work out this well. Anyway, thanks for the comments in this thread.
