Seton Hall chokes away the game against Sparty

Submitted by FrankMurphy on November 14th, 2019 at 10:55 PM

Sparty was trailing Seton Hall 71-66 with under 2:00 to play and staring down the barrel of a 1-2 start. Thanks to some piss-poor shot selection by Seton Hall down the stretch, MSU managed to escape with a 76-73 win.

This was supposed to be a "DOWN GOES SPARTY" post. Aargh.

We are a possible bubble team. Big Ten wins are good for our numbers and after an awful first week, the big ten needs wins.

Stop acting like their childish fans. State winning this game was a small, net positive for Michigan. Enjoy that. Fans cheering against their own interests out of spite never made sense to me.

Of course, by all means, cheer for them to lose every game in conference and in the tourney.

A possible bubble team?? That would be an absolute piss poor job by Juwan if that was the case. Not happening. Michigan is better than anyone thinks in media. I'm not saying that as a Michigan fan either but as a college basketball fan. College basketball is down across the board right now. I'll take our 4 upperclassmen who have played major minutes as the young guys develop.

I knew MSU was going to win with how Seton Hall started playing at the end. Like you said Seton hall with the 5 point lead wasted back to back possessions on horrible 3s by Powell. They could've extended the lead to 9-10 and shut the door

Powell kept SHU in it with 37 points, but killed them on that second to last possession. Just rushed up a drive into 3 big men and lost the ball
