We're going to miss Bredeson when he's gone.
December 5th, 2019 at 12:17 PM ^
Feels like one of the few times we've gotten a highly recruited OL prospect and they came in and met or exceeded expectations for their entire time here. He's underappreciated because he just went essentially unnoticed holding down the interior for so long. Good luck to him

Shocked Runyan did not get an invite given first team All-B1G honors two years in a row.
December 4th, 2019 at 10:23 PM ^
If I had to guess there’s probably tighter numbers at Tackle vs Guard. If he doesn’t get in this one i’m sure the lower tier bowls will be blowing his phone up.
December 5th, 2019 at 5:03 AM ^
Isn't it more prestigious to get invited to the combine? Most of the better (higher possible round picks) don't play in these games.
December 5th, 2019 at 9:21 AM ^
Guys that are first round locks a lot of the time don't do the Senior bowl. It looks like last year there were 10 first round picks that played in the game or at least went through practices all week which is pretty good.
December 4th, 2019 at 10:12 PM ^
Going to be weird seeing the team without these guys next year.
December 4th, 2019 at 10:16 PM ^
Big offensive rebuild next year in my opinion. Great new guys but still a challenge for the coaches.
December 4th, 2019 at 10:37 PM ^
Not really...if all who can stay do, without transferring or going to the NFL, the team will have a lot of good playmakers.
They will all have more time with Gattis as well.
Qb is the biggest question mark in my opinion.
Early prediction for next season...11-1 IF they beat Washington, this is a nice schedule for 2020.
December 5th, 2019 at 1:59 AM ^
Seriously ? LoL 8-9 wins is the standard outlook.
December 5th, 2019 at 7:10 AM ^
It’s time to surpass standard my friend.
December 5th, 2019 at 5:46 AM ^
Guaranteed 3 new starters on the oline and a new starter at the most important position on the field, QB. That, IMHO, is a pretty big rebuild job without even considering the possibility of Collins, McKeon or Ruiz also going.
December 5th, 2019 at 7:09 AM ^
I said if all that can stay do...this includes ruiz, Collins, mckeon, DPJ, Black, Bell, Charbonnet, Haskins
that is again a lot of weapons on offense. Defense returns a lot of players.
I did agree on qb as the biggest question mark.
December 5th, 2019 at 10:19 AM ^
I realize you said if all that can stay do, which is why i said replacing 3 starters on the Oline and the QB "is a pretty big rebuild job without even considering the possibility of Collins, McKeon or Ruiz also going."
Especially since the 4 that are definitely leaving were all multi-year starters. Part of the problem is most of the departures are concentrated in one position group.

Schedule looks just as tough as this years.
At WA, MN, MSU & OSU
Wiscy & PSU at home.
6 tough games, maybe 5 - MSU could be very depleted.
December 5th, 2019 at 12:39 PM ^
I'm actually less concerned about the schedule now than I was say pre-Penn State. We get Wisconsin and Penn State at home, Washington is losing their HC (and wasn't that great anyway), MSU is cratering, and Minnesota (while they did beat Penn State) looks to be not as good as it first appeared. Outlook is probably still 8-9 wins with a 10 win ceiling
December 4th, 2019 at 10:24 PM ^
Congrats to them! Go blue!
December 4th, 2019 at 10:37 PM ^
McKeon is a redshirt junior. Guess that's another spot opened up for next year confirmed
December 5th, 2019 at 12:00 AM ^
is he? He's listed on the official roster as a "Senior". He played in 4 games his freshman year, but before that was the NCAA approved process for redshirting.
December 5th, 2019 at 12:12 AM ^
So did Uche and he could have had another year too. McKeon accepting surprises me.
December 5th, 2019 at 12:28 AM ^
Uche was injured as a freshman, he could qualify for a medical redshirt.
December 5th, 2019 at 7:37 AM ^
The 4 game policy is not retroactive
December 4th, 2019 at 10:42 PM ^
Glad for them to show their talent. I am sure you will see a couple more jump on board soon.
Also .. I just read this ... Could be just a projection as I couldn't find anything else about it online.
TaxSlayer Bowl, Jan. 2
Michigan vs. Tennessee
December 4th, 2019 at 10:56 PM ^
Would be great. Another 10 win season.
December 5th, 2019 at 12:30 AM ^
Projections are all you're seeing right now. The 4 teams in the CFP have to be determined before other pieces fall into place.
December 5th, 2019 at 9:12 AM ^
I’ve read Holiday bowl vs USC/UW or Gator bowl VS Bama
December 5th, 2019 at 9:22 AM ^
I highly doubt the citrus bowl would pass at a chance to take Bama.
December 5th, 2019 at 7:57 AM ^
The Senior Bowl is overrated.
In fact, you really shouldn't go unless you're way under the radar.
Scouts have plenty of info on the players - game tape, combine, pro day.
Too much information and no guarantee that it will help you - in fact it could hurt you.
If you're already a solid player with good tape - don't go.
December 5th, 2019 at 8:31 AM ^
This is a complete fallacy. The senior bowl is great place for known and unknown players to compete, especially in the days leading up to the game, against one another.
In the 71-year history of the game, the Senior Bowl has featured 53 Pro Football Hall of Fame members, including Joe Namath, Joe Greene, Walter Payton and Dan Marino. Current players such as Aaron Donald, Von Miller, Bobby Wagner, Carson Wentz and Russell Wilson have participated. In 2019, the Senior Bowl showcased 93 total players that went on to be drafted, including 10 first-round picks and 40 in the first three rounds.

The Senior Bowl is a complete fallacy. It wants you to think you need to be there when you don't - and they are good at marketing it that way.
The Senior Bowl exists to make money.
It's a meaningless all-star game. There are scouts there? There are scouts everywhere. Let the scouts evaluate you in a real game situation, not a glorified practice. Those same scouts will be at the combine and your pro day. You just played in 12 games. Let them evaluate the game film, not a practice.
In fact, "it makes zero sense to attend, unless you're under the radar". If you're from a big school and had a solid year on the field, why bother? Do you want to be downgraded because you had a bad practice at the Sr. Bowl?
December 5th, 2019 at 9:10 AM ^
The only players that don’t go are guys projected in the top 15-20, the senior bowl has had a lot of guys who are good to great pros play and it’s the practices where NFL front office types get to see how they match up.
December 5th, 2019 at 9:08 AM ^
I thought McKeon had another year of eligibility...
December 5th, 2019 at 4:06 PM ^
LB Khaleke Hudson
QB Shea Patterson
CB Lavert Hill
DE Michael Danna
Have all accepted invites to the East West Shrine Bowl, the other big senior bowl game.
The Shrine Bowl also tweeted that Sean Mckeon has accepted an invite so I don’t know which game he’s going to. I’m pretty sure you can’t do both.
