Season Ticket Renewals
Spoke to the ticket office this morning asking why the season ticket due date is June 1st when the president announced last week that he was expecting a decision within the next 3 weeks. They told me an email will be sent out soon that payment is not required until a final decision is made. So hold onto your cash until we know more.
Go Blue!!
Not a problem...I gave mine up this year. Go Blue!
Sometimes when I'm bored, I like to look up the Facebook profiles of the people I went to school with. Just to so how much better their lives' are.
Hey whatever it is that’s going on, whether you are serious or not, you should find a professional counselor and have some discussion about what’s going on in your life. This is the wrong forum for you.
I second this emotion.
I'm fine.
Strongly disagree.
Didn't you hear about your high school and town, oh Conquerer of Pygmy Ponies?
Dickenson Stadium and half of St. Joe got swallowed up by Lake Michigan because of all the rain this week.
If you chose the installment plan, the second payment was due June 30th, and third on July 31st. Doubt any of that is really going to matter, unfortunately.
Curious to see if they're still doing seat upgrades this year. With a lot of people dropping, deferring payment due to Covid, this might be a good year to try to move to a better section.
mgoblue.com mentioned seat upgrades after July 8 at one point once they have a better idea what the demand is, and what is happening going forward. Probably a sliding scale of adjustments at this point...Until the governor makes a call, the University makes a decision, too many variables.
True. Covid plus a subpar home schedule this year would seem the opportune time to upgrade. I feel like the big donors will all come back in a year or two though and reclaim their seats.
I think they are being pretty flexible/reasonable with complete uncertainty. I have no issue paying now, or never. So much up in the air, at least they have a plan to refund/forward the fees for next season if it somehow comes to that.
I wonder if they would let me defer to next season if they're going to allow a smaller percentage in the stadium. I can't say I'd be comfortable going yet but I don't want to give them up either. Hopefully they give some more information soon.
fugitive hope this helps...if they are offering it for a cancelled season, I want to believe limited entry would allow for the same policy. I guess the best answer is call the ticket office for absolute confirmation of plans.
What is the refund policy if a season is cancelled?
Many of you have questions about how an alteration or cancellation of a season might impact you. While it is too soon to speculate, if any sports season were to be canceled in 2020-21, we have made temporary changes to our refund policy to provide the following options for both your Preferred Seat Contribution and season tickets:
- Transfer of payments to the following seasons (2021-22)
- Changing the allocation of payments to a tax-deductible athletic donation
- Receiving a full refund
Even if they don't cancel I think you can get a deferral. My father called the ticket office and said he has a medical condition and he couldn't risk it if the season is played and they deferred him to next year. I think if you call them, you'll find the ticket office accommodating.
Thanks for the follow up, glad to hear this. If people truly feel unsafe , it's better to allow deferrals to next season, extending that option goes a long way to promote good will and fan loyalty.
I went ahead and renewed last month. Didn't want to take any chances with missing the renewal deadline or some glitch resulting in me losing my seats.
Not worried about being able to defer the $$ to next year; I'm sure they will be very accommodating.
I would agree with those who are speculating that this situation could, however, be a tipping point for those who have been thinking about giving up their tickets. Probably is a good time to be asking for upgrades, to move seats, etc.
I sent mine in before the original deadline. I kind of like not having to worry about it; if it can't be used this year then I don't have to worry about next year (except maybe the difference in cost since there's like 1 more game).
Just PAY. The U can use the interest to help with the bills. And you wonder why OSU is better. I thought as alums we made $$$. Seems like someone that sells their tickets to MSU or OSU to make 5 bucks.
Weak.
Yeah, but UM alums generally know how to invest their money wisely, and Michigan football isn't exactly a great investment, especially since the athletic department's made it abundantly clear that they'll never do what it takes to get on equal footing with OSU (despite what that stupid video played before every game says about "competing for national championships"). Show that the thousands we spend every season will actually go toward a championship and people won't be so hesitant to pay up.
So why spend your time on a Michigan blog. Your a fraud.
no you're /s
They've also said that if a season isn't played or something happens and a game(s) is cancelled, that you'll get a refund. So you can pay and know that you'll get money back if a game isn't played.
So where is this letter 3 days ahead of the deadline? More news from China.
