Season Ticket Deadline May 4

Submitted by The FannMan on

Since the Athletic Department isn't mailing out renewal packets this year, I thought I would remind the MGo Community that the deadline for renewing football season tickets is May 4.

(I checked to see if there was any other thread on this and didn't find one.  I await my beating if I missed one.)

I have had tickets for a few years, but I know a few friends that donated $100 last year and got tickets the first year on the waiting list. With the Mandatory $500 that you have to donate now, I would recommend at least $600. This will give you one more priority point than everyone else who just put in $500.

is for your priority points.  Every $100 = 1 point.  Typically you will need 1-5 points to get the tix.  They NEVER tell you the minimum because they want you to donate more.  The donation give you the RIGHT to buy the tickets at face value from the AD.  Tickets are a separate charge, $390 per seat + processing.

Last year 1 point was good enough for the end zone and 5 points was good enough for the Blue Tier.  I seriously doubt that will be enough this year with the BCS Bowl win and all.

Last year I called the Victors Club and just chatted with them for about 10 minutes.  If you ask the right questions, you will get the answer.

The deadline was Jan30 for this year.  Call the VC tomorrow and tell them you have your income taxes back and you want to donate.  Also tell them you were in a coma in Boliva and you could not meet the Jan30 deadline.  If you ask nicely and pay, you will get the tix.

I was on the waiting list for 5 years ( I donated 100 a year), I got my first seats RR's second year. I was in the top row with two tickets, I asked for better seats and two extra tickets my second year I'm now row 40 with four tickets. The tickets and PSD are the same price at row 40 as they were at the top, plus I moved two sections closer to the 50.

Sounds like that worked out well then. The ones i split with a buddy every year are in his name. Had them forever in the endzone so no psd. Contemplating hard on getting my own. Not sure why since i moved 7 hrs from A2 this year as opposed to being an hour prior.

The PSD has always been 125 per ticket, I think it is because I'm still in the Blue section but the seat location is so much better. I really don't want to sit any lower then row 40 I think it gets harder to see the whole field, unless your in the first two rows. I do wish my section was louder, I guess I was spoiled sitting with my sister in the student section for four years.

I was on the wait list for about 3 years, and am now goin gon my 6th year with season tickets, i think.  The frustrating thing, is that I began in row 90ish, and moved down after the first year to row 62, in the same endzone section.  I request lower seats each year, and or a better section, however it's never granted.  Very frustrating, as when I was purchasing the "ticket packages" on the wait list, I was bouncing around typically between the twenties, half way up.....

I put my name on the list and donated my $100 every yr for 9yrs!!! One thing good about the RR yrs is it opened up some season tickets...same for me as stated above, I received my tickets his 2nd yr. in the EZ. With student section expansion I was forced to move...so I upgraded. I know sit on the 35 Yd line in row 2. I LOVE being close to the field, I love watching the plays develop and even hearing the game as coach Hoke would say. It was worth the wait!

Sounds like alot of people got tix in 09, which is when I did as well.  I just donated $100 in Jan 09 and I was able to get season tix for that year.  I also was very surprised that they didnt put me in the end zone but in sec 20.  I'm sure glad I was able to get in when I did becasue I couldn't afford to be on the wait list now.

I received an email about renewing but don't recall reading anything about the university not mailing out the usual renewal package anymore.  Probably was buried in the message.   Maybe we'll get rid of some of those old people that set on their hands every week and sell their tickets in cold weather games to the visitors.
