Did I have any idea that Santa Ono's inauguration was on Tuesday? No, I did not. How did I find out? I was playing pickleball with a friend of mine in Chicago on Wednesday and he said he had some pictures I would appreciate.
He showed me pictures of him with a group of his friends + Jim Harbaugh. Then another with Santa Ono. And Santa's brother, Ken (apparently a world-renowned mathematician).
Turns out that he was among of group of Santa Ono's friends in undergrad at the University of Chicago. Their mutual friend is one of Santa's best friends, so there was a group of about 30 UC folks in attendance.
My buddy's wife had no clue who Jim Harbaugh was. She was like, "Who's that guy everyone is talking to?"
They also got a tour of the stadium, spent some time in the luxury box, and had some private time with Santa and his family.
Anyway, congratulations on the inauguration, President Ono! GO BLUE!

2) This post made me realize I hadn't heard whether or not Harbaugh *officially* re-signed a new contract yet...is there any news on that front? Did I miss it altogether?
