Sam Montgomery

I was reading an article on Sam Montgomery where he was saying that he was high on Michigan. I know that LSU is his leader but given the shake up in the coaching staff on the defensive side of the ball does this increase our chances? Paging Doctor TomVH!

Yea it increases our chances, because it has affected him, but I think they've still got him. A visit to Michigan has been known to change a kids mind, but I just think LSU has a bigger lead than he's giving off. It does help though that he built some friendships with M commits at the Under Armour game. He's not off the table, I just think there's a lot of ground to be made up.

That beats not having a shot at all. That would make a monster line. Although, I heard he is somewhat of a project (technique wise) but I heard his athletism is through the roof. Him, Death Roh, and The QB destroying Otter will strike some fear in the hearts of Offenses.

Michigan will play host to Under Armour All-American defensive end Sam Montgomery (Greenwood, S.C./Greenwood) for an official visit this week and Montgomery said on Wednesday night that the Wolverines may have pulled ahead a little. "I am really liking (Michigan) right now," Montgomery said. "But LSU is in there as well."

Sam Montgomery also cited the importance of strong academics. This could be BS but if he is serious why is LSU a leading candidate for him? Clearly, Michigan has the best academics of all the schools he is considering.

Sam Montgomery would be the snake oil get of the year. I don't think it will happen, but with two four-star DE commits already and his connections in the south, it would be great success to pull him out of there. I also think it would be a good thing because I'm not sold on Lalota. I have a feeling that Roh will be good, but Lalota's going to be Pat Massey.

When I listen to Montgomery talk in interviews, I get a Will Campbell vibe. I think he's playing games with everybody. If by some surprise it's not LSU, it'll be one of the Carolinas, in my opinion.
