RR on Twitter?
Just saw this ( http://twitter.com/UM_CoachRod ) on EDSBS. Anyone know if its real?
maybe its Rod Smith.
BTN checked it up with the AD.
I don't see RR twittering.
Much to my surprise, this looks legit. And, hey, Pete Carroll does it. What I really want is a Lane Kiffin-Urban Meyer Twitter showdown.
two totally different types of people. I am not saying that Rich isn't laid back but he's NOT that laid back as Pete. Besides, do you see RR going deep into the Detroit Hood like Pete does in South Central?
I don't see what varying degrees of laid-backness has to do with whether or not RichRod would be so bold as to Twitter.
I mean, that does look exactly like RR. Must be him.
has to be him!
I'm not saying it is definitely legit, but the kind of posts that are on there, encouraging the basketball team, an update on pro-day workouts-- those are the things you'd expect to see. It's not such a stretch. My guess is that this is real.
This isn't exactly like fake Rick Reilly. It's not exactly an exaggeration of what RichRod does.
as mentioned before, the BTN twitter feed also seems to offer some semi-legit validation.
Trying to change my background image and having problems.
why the fuck is twitter popular? it seems like a very low budget facebook.
Cosign. It's facebook if you took out everything except the status update..
The only cool thing about it really is who you can follow - like coach rod for example, NPR, jimmy fallon, etc.
Twitter is a situational awareness thing. Think AIM away messages all the time.
I'm pretty sure its him as all the official UM athletic twitters follow him and vice a versa. Scott Draper also announced him on his Twitter (and who the hell would want to make a fake Scott Draper?).
If it were fake it'd be a Sparty posting messages like "Doesn't give a crap about these scrub players in Michigan" and "Really wants Dantonio to go to the NFL so he stops picking on me", etc...
What is with the "Welcoming 250 future wolverines" update?
though I didn't think attendance was supposed to be 250. I thought it was more like 40.
"For those that following Michigan Football on Rivals."
I realize his last name is Rodriguez, but I thought English was his first language. Hmmmm...
but I sincerely the MGoBoard doesn't turn into 19 different daily threads about the real meaning behind Coach Rod's periodic tweets.
Are you RR's twitter? Seriously, both you and him are missing words in your "sentences". You both, apparently, speak the same broken English.
I don't see what's wrong with that post, grammatically (other than a missing comma after the modifying phrase).
but I sincerely *hope* the MGoBoard doesn't turn into 19 different daily threads about the real meaning behind Coach Rod's periodic tweets.
I guess some people can read what was meant and others can only read what was written.
Have you considered that maybe he just forgot to type the word "are?" Let he who has never made a typographical error cast the first flaming comment.

Yes, I considered it. That's why I posted what I did. If that was really RR, you'd think that he would actually read what he wrote before he posted it.
To the other guy, I was just drawing similarities in their posts. Missing words, etc... I blame my mother and two sisters who are all English teachers.
What has he ever said that made you think "This coach really cares about grammar"?
I dunno. Coach Rod seems pretty enamored with this whole Twitter thing. 4 Tweets in the last 4 hours? Calm down a little, turbo.
It's CoachBT.
BTW, Coach Rod (or his twitter man) is now posting that Will Johnson set a new NFL record benching 225 lbs 47 times! That is absolutely nuts. I call Barwis Magic on this. What a good recruiting claim this can be.
could that possibly be true? I mean, I kinda feel like whoever is doing this twitter thing must be having a lot of laughs by making stuff up and watching how people react?
Well, whoever is running this Twitter is not "making stuff up," because WJ apparently actually DID bench 225 47 times:

I found it funny that one of the groups he's 'following' is "SpreadOffense.com"
I liked that too. Its like a little glimpse into his world.
