That none of the “Potential 5 Star Candidates”  listed Michigan as one of the schools they are considering?  Probably too early to judge anything but it would be nice to see a couple 5 stars come our way.  Hopefully RR can pull some magic out of his hat for remainder of the 2009 class but I am getting less optimistic.

They only list ten people as five start candidates. Even if all of them end up actually getting five stars, there's going to be another 10-15 non-candidates who also get that rating. Add in the shuffling that will most assuredly occur, and the fact that it's 15 months until their signing day, and I think it's safe to say it's we shouldn't be concerned at this point.

This list changes so much, at this point it's just a guess of some of the better players. I've got an interview that's going to post tomorrow with one of the 5 star prospects. The top lists always change, and Rich Rodriguez is going after the right kids. I've already talked with a lot of the kids from that class, and there's a lot of talk about Michigan. So don't worry.

Did anyone else catch the description of Ivan McCartney?

Scouting Report: McCartney is a cousin of Cincinnati Bengal Chad Johnson. Like his Johnson he’s a talented receiver with big play capability. McCartney runs well, has very good concentration and hands.

From this list, we're also in on Brennan Clay (plays RB with Tate Forcier right now), Devin Gardner (MI dual-threat QB) and William Gholston (DE). That's off the top of my head.

IMO, we're not getting Will Gholston. He likes State and Ohio State too much, and from what I've heard from him, he's already talking crap to the Cass Tech Michigan kids. We're afte a lot of the kids on that list, it's just too early to get the final numbers. Robert Crisp, Brennan Clay, Devin Gardner, Austin White, Keeston Terry (might not be on that list), Christian Lombard, Chris Dunkley, Jamel Turner. There's too many for it to really matter right now, until they narrow their lists down.
