Rich Rodriguez was on the Dan Patrick show this morning. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/danpatrick/ EDIT: RECAP Rodriguez said that he understands why Charlie Weis was passing toward the end of the Michigan game and not running the ball. Rodriguez said that he was more scared of the Irish's passing game and was actually hoping they wouldn't throw. Dan said to Rodriguez that it looks like he's found his quarterback. Rodriguez said that he thinks they found two -- Tate Forcier and Denard Robinson. I don't know yet," Rodriguez said. "I think we've played like a top-25 team in the first two games, but at other times we haven't at all. I'm not sure we're there yet." Dan and Rodriguez even got into a discussion of whether Michigan has title aspirations. "For us to be able to compete for a championship at this stage, we have to have a lot go right for us and a lot to go wrong with other teams," Rodriguez said.

As the old saw goes, I don't care what you say about me as long as you spell my name right. The Michigan program is going to get a ton of national pub because the the ESPN types love RichRod, his offense, his perceived borderline bad boy image, all of it. Lloyd was a dull bore to them. So is Tressel. But RichRod has Pete Carroll loquacious tendencies. Watch.
