Rece Davis interview. He's really knowledgeable about M football, seems to have watched all of our games. I think hes really good in his role on Gameday. Didn't realize he was an Alabama alum.

I like Rece. He once worked in Flint (mid-'90s) and seems to generally give us a fair shake.

I like him too. And as much as we want to dump on Kirk, the two of them bring energy and passion into the booth. Yeah, some of the things Kirk says over and over are annoying, but they call an exciting game. They are a great team in the booth,

I think this is a fair assessment. For the most part (and with some obvious exceptions, like when Herbstreit is on Columbus radio) both Davis and Herbstreit do a reasonable job of being objective about the games they're covering and a reasonably good job of covering those games.
(Although I admit the bar for broadcasters is set pretty low these days. With far too many of them I just end up turning the sound only loud enough for me to tell if they've gone to commercial.)

I don't mean to start the usually flame session that usually ensues, but I had to listen to a Michigan game in the car and good God Brandstatter and Dierdorf made me just turn it off. Its kind of amazing how terrible they are .

I’m from the Flint area, and I remember he had a segment called Reese’s pieces. I always thought it was crazy that he went to espn from channel 12. Always liked him too.

I think Rece Davis has done a fantastic job on the show. I still very much miss Chris Fowler because no one set the scene on this show like he did, but I appreciate ESPN's smart move to upgrade Saturday Night Football away from Musberger and Rece has been a great replacement.

Fowler was great and Rece is great too on College Gameday. Both are always fair and impartial to the coverage of each team during the show.

I met Fowler once. I yelled "Hey you're that guy from ESPN!" and he "thanks. It's great to know I'm having such an impact that everyone knows my name."
