Raper to Visit?
Is this guy going to visit or what's the word on him? If he had trouble qualifying, maybe the coaches think he would struggle academically?
For a guy with his speed, and potential at corner, I would think more would be said of him. Plus he has an awesome name.

They want him to visit before they make a decision. He's coming within the next couple weeks.

It would seem the coaches want to get a feel for him as a person and maybe decide how he would fit on the team, as a corner or slot receiver perhaps?
Or do they just want him to be sure? Maybe both?

I don't think this is a particularly rare issue given the ACT scores of most players on the team.

is his name - and not his classification.

Raper is an awesome name?!?! What penitentiary are you from, dmccoy?
Something tells me we should pass on this guy. A Raper with bad grades sounds like trouble, regardless of how fast he is.
All name joking aside, this is Michigan. We need to maintain some standards, not do whatever it takes to land speedsters. That's Florida State Criminoles territory.

Right, because we NEVER recruit kids with poor grades or questionable character.

So this isn't a name joke, then?
If it's not, what about Raper, in all seriousness, suggets that he's criminal?

The same thing that suggests Adrian Witty is amusingly clever.
