A quick "shout out" to all the CB's on the roster

Submitted by trueblue262 on
Just because they have heard about how bummed everyone was about all the CB's that WERE on the roster(Turner) or the ones that didn't quite make it (Dorsey) or the ones that made questionable decisions (Warren........I mean Cissoko) I just think the timing is right to let these guys know that the fanbase is behind them...........just don't let any WR's get behind them!!!

good post, I'm sure these kids read or get wind of things written about them. It's crazy to think that they used to be some of the most talented athletes in the country but all of a sudden they're chopped liver. A little confidence would go a long way i think.

These are all good kids...key word "kids". We need to be behind them and not dwell on what has happened. Keep your heads up and the Big Blue Nation will remain behind you! Can't wait to see the Blue take the field in 2 weeks!

YEA!!! I have confidence in whoever we have out there wearing those beautiful winged helmets. And i agree that they are just kids, so if we boo them they won't perform any better, they will be worse. Because if the people in the student section who boo could do better maybe they should try out for the team. But there won't be any need for us to boo because our players will go out and destroy the other teams!!! Cullen Christian will be a stud and get 6 picks, and we will show that if your not 100% commited we don't need you!!!!!

If you count all of the safeties and CB's on the roster, it comes out to 23.  Surely, out of 23 possibilities, even subtracting walk-ons, who aren't yet ready, and those who will never quite be ready, there are enough players to do the job.  Judging from reports the mood around the team and the coaching staff, everyone on the "inside" is confident heading into this season.

I will give them credit for having a valid reason for their confidence.

This only will increase the pressure and stress on the younger guys who might have had the luxury of chilling a little or easing into a redshirt.  This is a good thing. Guys like Avery and Christian are super athletes who now are going to test their wares on the big stage.

It is a great opportunity and who says some other guys can't step up too?

I agree that the fans being gloom and doom doesn't do the rest of the guys justice.

Like no longer than 7 days ago, I heard a lot of people saying Troy was part of a stagnant core group of dbs.  Now he goes down and suddenly he was Deon Sanders? He is probably the best we had, but we can make up for it if guys rise to the occasion.
