Question: what's the best way to get tickets to Utah game?

Submitted by JMEISTER on
I'm considering making the trek to Salt Lake City for the opener on September 3rd. Utah only seats about 47k in their stadium. Will Michigan fans have access to tickets other than stub-hub? Any advice?

I'm getting mine through the UM Alumni Association, and actually just put in the order to my guy today.

Brian once called Osteen a "flaccid personal motivator" or some such thing in a thread a while back.  Not sure I understand the hate for the guy given the fact that he does a lot of good for people who are having tough times.

I personally like the guy, so troll on.

Surely a prophet such as yourself will be able to tell us the win total for this upcoming season.  It would be great to know for gambling purposes.  Maybe we can ask your boy Rob Bell for some insight, too.  Although I'm sure he'd say that the season won't be sent to hell like in years past.

Utah obviously has a small stadium. They allocated a very small amount of tickets to Michigan, hence the need to have more than 750 points to get them from Michigan. Secondary market is pretty high right now. Try to work with the Alumni Assocaiation or corporate avenues if you can. Try UTAH season ticket holders too. Otherwise, just shell out the cash to StubHub.

Park City is a great time during the Winter, but I can't imagine many people will be making the 45 min trek there in September while in town for a football game.

Yes, Salt Lake City is incredibly boring. Very clean and orderly, but bery boring. I would be interested your evidence to the contrary.

They are expensive right now at about $200 a pop, but I expect that to go down within a week or two of that game.

... I checked around and the 'official' sites seem excessively high.

I was considering going to the game (from Tucson) ... but not for those prices.

Maybe as the date draws closer and some decent Southwest fares come up ... then maybe.

I'm surprised they're only $200 given the small stadium (sorry, Utah, but it is) and the large amount of interest. I could see prices increasing in the run up to the game. That's the day before move-in starts on campus; catching the game from a barstool at Ashley's sounds pretty good.

Utah isn't a very loyal fanbase, and they are just starting to care about football out there. It will be a fun night game, but I don't see it being impossible to get tickets for face value.

Ummm... and since Utah schooled MI last year in the Big House, you can bet the fans will be out.

Listen Utah isn't Ohio, Texas, FLA, or Cali... but with BYU being good, Utah State showing flashes of brilliance, there's suddenly a lot more to do on Staurdays in that not very populated state.

The demand from all the Michigan ex-pats in Colorado alone should drive up the prices too.
