Question for Sharp readers

Submitted by Ziff72 on
So I made the mistake of clicking over to 1130 on my ride home last night and Sharp was ripping State over the F. Smith reinstatement, but since no one cares about that he had to relate it to Michigan and Dorsey to get anyone to call. So I fell for the bait and called in.(I know I know it was stupid he baited me, but I thought I could pin him down on his hypocrisy). Essentialy his argument was Mich and MSU were too good for this type of thing and they should kick off any player with a problem or not allow kids with previous problems. So my take was that's fine, but you can't write any articles praising the SEC and crushing the Big Ten or calling for Dantonio's or RR's head if they struggle on the field because they will be working at a disadvantage. His response to me was he has frequently praised the Big Ten for their ethics and not lowering their standards compared to the other conferences. I don't read the guy or the paper at all much anymore, but I would get the gist of his columns from the radio when a Stony and Wojo would debate it or when he used to be a part timer on the radio. For those that say they don't read it but actually do, is he telling the truth or did he just make that shit up?? The Sharp praising the Big Ten column didn't receive much attention if he actually wrote it in my world.

I don't know but your argument played to his strength... Anyone will agree the Big Ten should have high standards (both on and off the field.) I think the focus should have been: "Do me a favor, debate Brian Cook of MGoBlog on this or any topic... You can do it on air, Angell Hall, Cover it live...whatever."

Is there anyone left who actually reads Drew Sharp anymore? I would guess the hundred or so people who comment on his articles are the only ones who still bother with him.

which is that Dorsey was found not guilty and has been "clean" for the past 2 years. Why have this crazy thing called a judicial system if someone who is found not guilty is treated similarly to someone found guilty? Moreover, who cares what he praises or does not praise. That's not the issue. Michigan did their background check, FL, FSU, & USC all offered Dorsey, so why can't Michigan? RR booted Cissoko last year, when out CB depth was non existent. He has shown that he will not tolerate BS. Just ignore him and he'll go away.

This "story" comes full circle when Sharp and his ilk start to rip UM for being arrogant and acting as if its football program is superior based on higher standards (see Carty, Jim). Lather, rinse, repeat.
