Hello all,

With the realization of Newsome's decision finally sinking in, I checked out the Forcier family web page (qbforce.com).  It currently states that he already has 33 or so offers, including us.  It looks like he won the Golden Gun at the Elite 11 camp for passing accuracy and shows that he runs anywhere from a 4.55 to 4.63 in the 40.  He received the highest possible rating (90-100: Extraordinary Prospect).  Based upon the previous info., he sounds like a keeper.

I guess my point in all of this is how high up is Michigan on his list?  Has he not committed to us because we already had Beaver and Newsome?  Is there some other behind-the-scenes story that we do not know?    Just curious!  Any input would surely be appreciated.

So Newsome is having second thoughts...

Forcier seems to be a very real "replacement".  Newsome never really seemed to be a strong UM recruiter from the little bit that I saw.  What kind of recruiter could/would Forcier be?  Does he have any relationship with Shaq Evans from CA?

The Tar heels have a campus/atmosphere that is VERY attractive to recruits.  Several of the local players are changing their favorites after visiting.  Maybe not this year, but next and beyond, they could emerge from the disappointing ACC as a power.

Newsome - Anyone got any tidbits:

I like the idea of Tate convincing dudes to go blue.  Remember when he wrote on Newsome's myspace wall that it would be cool if they both went to UM?  He could use those sales skills on other kids, especially those is CA where the talent is deep and the Forcier name is pretty well recognized.

To answer your question it does seem as though Tate does like Michigan quite a bit but the real X-Factor here is "how hard are we recruiting him?". Hopefully we're recruiting him really hard. I also agree with WolvinLA
