He also said in an interview after the AA game that his top school was Michigan, but then 'corrected' himself by saying Michigan is up there with Alabama and Georgia. Take that for what it's worth

And this is arguably the premier big time HS program in the Pittsburgh area. It's a private school playing in PA's highest classification (lost state title game to a private school from Philly.)
While smaller schools like Clairton and Aliquippa (Tyler Boyd of the Bengals went to Clairton, Rivals #11 overall nationally this year Lamont Wade is a Clairton kid, and Aliquippa has given us guys like Mike Ditka, Sean Gilbert, Darrelle Revis, and Ty Law) have had success, the sheer volume of kids at Central with FBS talent makes this a good opportunity to build some relationships at that school.
This year, 3 of the Rivals Top 11 in PA are Central Catholic kids (David Adams #5, 4* LB committed to Hell with Notre Dame, CJ Thorpe #7, 4* OL committed to Penn State, Kurt Hinish #11, 3* DT committed to Hell with Notre Dame.)
Last year, 3 of the top 21 in PA were from Central.
Even if UM doesn't get this kid to sign, might be beneficial in the long run.
The question of whether UM would spend the resources it is on this kid at this late stage just to build a relationship with his school and coach is another conversation.

he's been to Michigan already
his 247 profile shows he unoffically visited Mar of 2016 - unless there is an error
why visit officially to somewhere you have been if not interested?
